Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near (Isaiah 55:6*).

Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power (Ephesians 6:10).

When we think about God,trouble goes.
11.A jewel is a bit of ordinary earth which has passed through some extraordinary experiences.
12.Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of God no matter what the conflict.
13.Patience means "to stay put & stand fast when you'd like to run away."
14.He conquers who endures.
15.Cheerfulness is contagious,but don't wait to catch it from others.Be a carrier!
16.What good did it do to be grouchy today?
Did your surliness drive any trouble away?
Did you cover more ground than you usually do,
Because of the grouch you carried with you?

If not, what's the use of a grouch or a frown,
If it won't smooth a path,or a grim trouble down?
If it doesn't assist you, it isn't worthwhile.
Your work may be hard, but just do it - & smile!
God Bless!

From Jesus With Love
Start anew,start today.
Life is all about the little decisions you make every day.Decisions of the past have had their effect, but every new day can be a new start. No matter what has happened up till now, you have a chance to make the right decisions today.
Don't waste you time reliving the pain of the past mistakes and wrong decisions. That only saps your power to do waht you can do today. You can't change the past, but the future is what you make it,starting right now,so take full advantage of the present.
Learn from past mistakes and put them behind you today.Forgive those who have wronged you and ask forgiveness from those you have wronged. That probably won't be easy, but dont put it off, do it today.Look to Me and My Word for fresh courage and hope, starting today.Dream new dreams today.Set new goals today.Spend your time on things that truly count today.Love your family today.Be a friend today.Do things better, starting today.
With My help, your future can be filled with wonderful accomplishment and fulfillment that will more than make up for past disappointments-and it all starts today.

Prayer for the Day
Dear Jesus,
I can't thank You enough for the wonderful miracle that You've done for me.I was nothing before You found me,yet You loved me enough to put Your arms around me and pull me from the dirt and mire of the world. You changed my life! You cleansed me with Your love and words, and gave me something to live for,Someone to love and be loved by,and something to strive for.Thank You for taking me,unworthy as I am,and calling me Your friend. For this I love and adore You.

"If you strive to make money your fortune will be remembered. If you strive for glory, your statue will be remembered. But if you live for others, you will be remembered, and you will live forever in the hearts of those you gave hope and love to."

Angels of the Lord

“He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways” (Psalm 91:11 KJV).
I hope you enjoy this true story of angels coming to help, comfort, and give evidence of God's love for us. Excerpt of a book written by a British pastor's wife who collected accounts of encounters with angels from all over Great Britain .
Angels -True Story of How They Touch Our Lives
Excerpts of the book by Hope Price (Macmillian, London, 1993)
Vicki was awake in bed at 2 a.m., suffering from an asthma attack, and had got out of bed to open the window to try a change of air. Her ground-floor bedroom looks out onto the back garden, and she immediately noticed a young man on the lawn. At first she thought he was the intruder who had been attacking women in the area and, not being a nervous sort, she decided to confront him to frighten him off.
As she opened the window to call to him, she saw that what she had thought was a short fair youth was actually a tall angel, kneeling as if in prayer. Vicki says, “He was half turned away from me, with wings, looking as if he had stepped off an ornate tomb! My first reaction was utter amazement; my second was feeling like an intruder myself, seeing something totally private. I watched him silently for a while, then closed the window as quietly as I could and got back into bed.”
Vicki relates the surprising sequel: “I lay there thinking, Some people have gnomes in their gardens, I've got an angel in mine! I felt a weird mixture of pleasure and This is ridiculous. Have I lost my marbles? Then the angel spoke to me. I was aware of his message as an emerging consciousness. He told me not to be judgmental of pe ople, even when I was sure they were wrong, that only God may judge. Not to hate people for what they do, but to understand. That life on Earth is only a tiny droplet in the ocean of eternity and my concern should be to try to become as close to God as I could, since God is composed of love and light.
“Really, I don't have words to describe his message. I can only say I was filled with an incredible sense of love and knew I was feeling Heaven. Written down, the message sounds simplistic, yet i t was full of subtlety; he spoke to my understanding. I fell asleep filled with enlightenment.
“It took several weeks to realize the full effect. The angel had taken my anger and left me with self-knowledge and illumination. Those who know me well comment on a change; I am a richer, more committed and gentler person as a result.”

You are God's opportunity in your day. He has waited for ages for a person just like you. If you refuse Him, then God loses His opportunity which He sought through you, and He will never have another, for there will never be another person on the earth just like you.

Bring to God your gift, my brother;
He'll not need to call another,
You will do.
He will add His blessing to it,
And the two of you will do it,
God and you.
--R.E. Neighbour

An oyster on the ocean floor opened wide its shell to let the water pass over it. As the water flushed through, its gills picked out food, sending it to its stomach. Suddenly a large fish nearby stirred up a cloud of sand and silt with a flip of its tail. Sand! Oh, how the oyster disliked sand. It was so rough and made life so unpleasant and uncomfortable and was such a bother whenever any got inside its shell. Quickly the oyster slammed its shell shut, but it was too late. One hard gritty grain of sand had gotten in and lodged itself between his inner flesh and his shell.
My, how that piece of sand bothered the oyster! But almost immediately, special glands God had given him for coating the inside of his shell began working to coat the irritating grain of sand with a lovely smooth and shiny covering. Year after year the oyster added a few more layers of the coating onto the tiny grain of sand until at last, it had produced a beautiful lustrous pearl of great value.
Sometimes the problems we have are a bit like that grain of sand. They bother us and we wonder why we have the irritation and inconvenience they can be. But the grace of God begins to work a wonder with our problems and weaknesses, if we let Him. We become more humble and yielded, more desperate in prayer, closer to the Lord, wiser, and better able to resist the problems. Like blessings in disguise, the Lord soon takes the rough pieces of sand in our life and turns them into precious pearls of strength and power and they become a hope and inspiration to many.
God Bless!

Have you ever considered how only the smaller birds sing? You never heard a note from the eagle in all your life, nor from the turkey, nor from the ostrich. But you have heard from the canary, the wren, and the lark. The sweetest music comes from those Christians who are small in their own estimation and before the Lord. "He hath exalted them of low degree" (Luke 1:52).

SOMEONE NEEDS YOU

Someone needs your smile today,
Your hug, your listening ear.
Someone needs encouragement
And gentle words of cheer.

Someone needs your helping hand,
A letter--or what's more,
Someone needs your cheerfulness
To make their spirits soar.

Someone needs affection
When they are feeling blue.
Listen, someone's calling--
For a special friend like you.
--Jacqueline Schiff

Wanted to share this beautiful poem which I hold very close to my heart!

Good manners and common courtesy tell us that we are to thank a person who gives us a gift.Yet we often forget to thank our Heavenly Father for the gifts that He bestows on us daily. The Bible says,"In everything give thanks:for this is the will of God"(1 Thessaloinians 5:18),and we are instructed to "enter into His gates[God's presence] with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise "(Psalm 100:4).
God has given us Everthing! The life we live, our family and friends and the simple and beautiful joy you experience.Well doesnt it make you want to thank and praise Him for them?God is not looking for articulate gratitude or specific words of praise. He delights in hearing you express your sincere thanksgiving from the heart.
"Oh,how I love You!How precious You are to me!How your love surpasses all others! How wonderful you are-kind and gentle, and yet also mighty!"Thank You Lord!

I love bringing up my son, being with him and watch him grow. It's not easy bringing up a child, one needs to have loads of patience, love and understanding.
Psychologists have discovered that children who are loved and sympathized with when they hurt themselves are braver as adults than those who are expected to suffer by themselves.A simple pat on the arm is in the long run a more satisfactory reward to a child than peanuts or chocolates or even money. Those things feed something selfish, but the physical touch fills the spirit.
A hug is like a compliment. If its not a sincere gift from someone who cares about us then its purpose is cancelled. Some people are naturally warm in the family circle.I have heard of a married couple who were unable to communicate their affection for each other and were advised to go home and practice hugging their children..:):)
Eventually the whole family's emotions became unlocked and they were able to show each other their love.
"A loving word may heal and bless."
"A brutal word may smite and kill."
"A timely word may lessen stress."
"A gracious word may smooth the way."
"A cruel word may wreck a life."
"A joyous word may light the day."

Go home and love your family!God Bless!

YIELDEDNESS
"To please the Lord,we need to learn to yield to Him and what He knows is best."
Psalm 25:4-5,Psalm 143:10,Matthew 11:29-30,James 4:13-15

"Yieldedness is putting the Lord's will above our own."
Psalm 40:8,Matthew 6:10,John 4:34,John 6:38

Yieldness means obeying God even when it's hard or hurts."
Jeremiah 42:6,Luke 22:42,Romans 12:1-2,1 Corinthians 15:31b

Only when we yield to the Lord is He able to work through us as He would like."
John 15:4-5

The more yielded we are to the Lord and His will, the happier we will be."
Deuteronomy 4:40,Isaiah 1:19,John 13:17,John 15:10-11

This poem by Elisha A.Hoffman is all about yielding to the Lord.

You have longed for sweet peace,
And for faith to increase,
And have earnestly,fervently prayed;
But you cannot have rest or be perfectly blest
Until all on the altar is laid.

Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid?
Your heart does the Spirit control?
You can only be blest and have peace and sweet rest,
As you yield Him you body and soul.

So give your all to Jesus. You are His child, and He loves you and will always do His best to make you happy and useful to Him,so that you may bring others the same life and happiness that you have found in Jesus.Do your best for Jesus by yielding to Him today!
God Bless!

I have always wondered why some Christians seem to radiate more of the Lord's love than others, making faster spiritual progress and seemed happier with the choices they have made in their life. The simple secret they told me was that "I want more of Jesus,so I'll give Him more of me."
Yielding to the Lord and His will does'nt mean we need to brace ourselves for a life of only hardship and deprivation.Jesus promises that when we do things His way,our burdens will be easy and light(Matthew 11:28-30).Its we who often make life harder for ourselves than it needs to be by doing things our own way or hanging on to what we think will make us happy.
"That is the love of God"..."that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome"(1John 5:3)
So if you have been going through a rough time lately, maybe that's because you've been carrying the wrong burden.Maybe it's time for you to yield to the Lord and trade in your will for His and see what a difference that will make.
God Bless!

I have compiled a list of one liners on "measure of success".
Success is not measured by the heights one attains, but by the obstacles that were overcome in their attainment.
Remember that God never fails, even if you fail!No matter how many times you've failed Him.He won't fail you,He'll bring you through!
Making mistakes isnt stupid:disregarding them is.
The secret of achievement is not to let what you're doing get to you before you get to it.

This poem has often inspired me to keep stepping out to help others and help others to help others.:):)
I am only one,
But still I am one,
I cannot do everything,
But still can do something;
And because I cannot do everything
I will not refuse to do something that I can do.
-Edward Everett Hale
