Help Us To Stay Close To You, & To Each Other, Lord

God always seems to bless harmony, people living at peace with each other & loving each other & helping each other & showing a large measure of love. His dynamics of the spirit really operate amazingly: The Lord says, "When one can only chase a thousand, two can put ten thousand to flight!" (Deu.32:30) In other words, it doesn't just double your power, but quintuples it! So there is tremendous strength in unity. This was Jesus' last prayer: "That they may be one, even as We are one." (Jn.17:21-23)

If we truly love the Lord, we should try to work together with others for the sake of His Kingdom.--Not in competition with each other, but yoked together in love, pulling the load together. "Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love! The fellowship of kindred minds is like to that Above!"

"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, & that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind & in the same judgment." (1Cor.1:10)

We Are Living In The Time Of The End!

God's Word contains countless specific "Signs of the Times" which have come to pass in our generation, proving that we are now living in the Time of the End!

These signs include: A dramatic upsurge in "famines, pestilences & earthquakes in divers places" (Mat.24:7), "the Gospel being preached in all the World for a witness to all nations" (Mat.24:14), a drastic increase in international travel, with "many running to & fro, wandering from sea to sea, as knowledge is greatly increased." (Dan.12:4; Amos 8:11,12)--A great "falling away" (2Thes.2:3) from the Lord as "evil men & seducers grow worse & worse, deceiving many". (2Tim.3:13)--"The love of many growing cold" (Mat.24:12), resulting in "distress of nations upon the Earth & men's hearts failing them for fear!" (Luk.21:25,26)--Signs which are all obviously being fulfilled today more than ever before!

"When ye shall see all these things," Jesus said, "know that the End is near!" He wasn't talking to His disciples 2,000 years ago who didn't see all these things being fulfilled, but He was talking to us! "This generation"--our generation--"shall not pass away till all these things are fulfilled!" (Mat.24:33,34) Are you ready?

Ask The Lord To Give You Direct Revelations, Straight From Him, To Show You Exactly What To Do

Some people think that the last time God ever spoke was to John on the Isle of Patmos, & that He hasn't spoken ever since! But God still speaks today! He's still speaking & showing, & He can speak to you directly! Once you're a growing, maturing Christian, you can get your orders directly from the Lord Himself.

But how do you test your inspiration?--Scripture is the yardstick, the final authority by which you can measure anything that's said! True revelations won't teach anything contrary, but they can fill in a lot of gaps & instruct you in your present circumstances. Just be sure that your revelations do not counteract nor contradict, but are in line with the Word of God! Ask Him for Scriptures to confirm them.

It's so wonderful to get the answers we desperately need straight from the Lord. When you've got the concrete evidence from the Lord, His statements on it, then you know you're on the right track & you can go ahead & act with conviction & faith without hesitation! That settles it! You've heard from Heaven!

Isn't It Wonderful To Trust The Lord?

Faith & trust in God gives you a feeling of rest of body, peace of mind, contentment of heart & spiritual well-being. When you know that God loves you, you know everything is going to be okay, including His taking care of everything! Then you have peace of mind & you can just rest in the Lord.

But worry can kill you! The Bible tells us, "Fear hath torment." (1Jn.4:18) How true! Fear is the killer! You can worry yourself sick, worry yourself to death! This is why faith in Christ & His Word is the greatest cure that you could possibly have. Faith is the opposite of fear, & when you have faith, you cannot fear. You either have one or the other. If fear displaces faith, then you've got problems. But if you cling to the Lord & His Word, & replace fear with faith, then you've got solutions! So rest your case with Him--He never fails, & if you truly trust Him, He'll see you through.

Help us not to worry, Lord, because we trust You, & we keep our minds stayed on You, & You keep us in perfect peace. (Isa.26:3) We know You're going to handle everything, Lord, & You know what's best to do, & we know that You're in control.

"He That Ruleth His Own Spirit Is Better Than He That Taketh A City"

Don't blame all your problems & troubles on the Devil. Our number one problem is ourselves! The spirits we have the most trouble with are not evil spirits, but our own! The evil spirits are subject unto us. (Luk.10:19,20) It's our own spirit that is often not submitted to the Lord as it should be. Our own spirits are the ones that haven't yet been conquered!

If we're saved, the Lord will never leave nor forsake us (Heb.13:5), but we can lose His power & anointing for service by our disobedience. Our spirits have free will, & must be brought voluntarily under the Lord's control, or they can certainly lead us astray just as bad as an evil spirit! In fact, they become evil spirits in disobedience! Our own spirits become evil when we disobey & are out of fellowship with God & out of His Spirit. (Rom.6:16)

God leaves the choice up to us which way we want to go, but if we'll make the right choice to go God's way, then He can step in to help us overcome our weaknesses. We just need to yield to the Holy Spirit.--Then the Lord can rule our spirits if we'll just stay close to Him.

No Matter How Good You Are, He'll Make You Better!

It's not possible for you to change your own heart, but it's possible for God to change you by the miracle working power of His Spirit! He'll do things you can't do!

This is what it means to be "born again a new creature in Christ Jesus.--Old things shall pass away & all things shall become new!" (Jn.3:3; 2Cor.5:17) His coming into your life not only renews & purifies & regenerates your own spirit, but it also renews your mind, literally breaking old connections & reflexes, & gradually rebuilding & rewiring it into a whole new computer system with a different outlook on life & a wonderful new way of looking at the World, with new reactions to nearly everything around you. (Eph.4:23; Rom.12:2)

But it's impossible for you to make such a change as this yourself. "For with Man it is impossible, but with God, all things are possible!" (Mat.19:26) If you want this change, it's necessary for you to ask Jesus to come into your heart. He's the One who makes "new creatures"! All you do is ask Him to come in, then He works the miracle!

Of course, some changes are instantaneous, others take awhile.--But if you're genuinely saved, you'll be changed, because He changes people!

Ask For Prayer!

The Lord often requires that we call for help & ask others to pray with us. He says you're to ask, & then you'll receive. (Mat.7:7) "Is there any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church & let them pray over him." (Jam.5:14) It's important that you make your request known, not only to the Lord but also to your brothers & sisters.

If the Lord knows your needs before you call (Mat.6:8), why doesn't He just go ahead & supply them without your having to ask? It's mostly for your own benefit. Similarly, you can pray for yourself, but then there won't be as great a testimony. When you ask others for prayer it's not only a manifestation of your faith in Him, but also a confession of your need & your dependence on the Lord, as well as a greater testimony to all when the Lord answers!

He likes for you to ask publicly for prayer so that everybody can join with you in prayer, & everyone will then be manifesting or confessing their dependence upon Him & manifesting their faith along with yours, so that when He answers, it will be a general testimony to all of you that the Lord is the One Who heard you & answered prayer! Amen?--Ask!

God Is A Spirit

God is the Spirit of Love! He's the Great Spirit, the Creator. He's not some old bearded gentleman way off somewhere, or some kind of ferocious monster that you can't understand, but He is the genuine Basic Power & Guiding Light of the Universe. The all-powerful, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent Spirit that pervades all things. He is everything, & everything is God, in a sense. (Acts 17:28; Col.1:16,17)

God dwells in life. He dwells more in one little sparrow than He does in all of the buildings & monuments supposedly dedicated to Him! "For the most High dwells not in temples made with hands!" (Acts 7:48) He said even the Heaven of Heavens cannot contain Him! Nevertheless, the High & Holy One dwells in the heart of the meek & the lowly. (Isa.57:15) He will live in your heart if you'll ask Him to come in!

He's everywhere, in Love. He is the very Spirit of Love in your heart! He's inside of you--so close. His Love is there wherever you are, whenever you ask for it! As King David so beautifully expressed in the Psalms, "If I'm up in Heaven, Thou art there! If I descend into the depths of Hell, Thou art there! Wherever I am, Thou art with me! I can never depart from Thy Spirit!" (Psa.139:7-12)

The Secret Of Victory Is The Word!

What is the life-giving flow that gives life from God?--It's the Word! It's His Word that gives us life & food & nourishment & strength & spiritual health. Jesus Himself said, "The Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit & they are Life!" (Jn.6:63)

Some people become "alienated from the life of God." (Eph.4:18) How is this possible?--It's when they become separated from the Word, because Jesus is the Word! (Jn.1:1,14) The minute you start crowding the Word out of your life, you are getting too busy!--Or when you lose confidence in the Word because of your own double-mindedness & double-heartedness! If you're not faithfully feeding from the Word, absorbing the Word, living in the Word & preaching & practicing the Word, beware!--Because when you neglect the Word, you neglect the Lord!--And the minute you do that, you are programmed to spiritually self-destruct!

There's nothing more powerful than the Word! The Word is the secret of power & victory & overcoming & fruitfulness & fire & life & warmth & light & leadership!--The secret of everything good is the Word!

The Only Bible That Most Of The World Reads Is The One Bound In Shoe Leather: You & Me!

Many people will not read the Bible, but they will read a Christian! And though they may doubt some of what you say, they will always believe what you do!

The only Love of God that people can see is the love they see in you, & if you don't show them a love they can see & feel, they're going to have a hard time believing that there is Someone up there Whom they don't know, & that He really loves them! They must learn to love you first before they can learn to love God.

In winning people, you have to inspire their faith in you, before they can believe God, because they cannot understand or believe what you have to say about God unless you really show them by some visible tangible work that puts your words into action & puts your faith into effect & makes it fact & not fiction, a sample, not just a sermon. Show them His real Love & manifest it by genuine proving action!

The only way that others will ever find His joy & peace & Love & happiness & Heaven is through you!--So in everything you do, remember that the Lord wants you to show this World how wonderful it is to belong to Him! (Mat.5:16)

How Much Better To Die For Something Than To Live For Nothing!

Whatever this life & this World have to offer, it's only for a little while! But Salvation, souls, children & service for the Lord are forever, they are eternal! "For this World passes away & the fashion thereof, but he that doeth the Will of God abideth forever! For the things which are seen are temporal--just for a little time--& the things which are not seen are eternal!" (1Jn.2:17; 2Cor.4:18)

Moses "had respect unto the recompense of the reward". He looked beyond today & its trials because he saw Jesus & had an eye on Eternity & its great rewards. "For he counted the riches of Christ greater than all the riches of Egypt!" (Heb.11:26)--The greatest, most powerful & richest nation on Earth in that day, of which he could have been Pharaoh. He counted the riches of Christ far greater than all the riches of this whole World combined!

If we pay the same price & make the same sacrifices, we, too, can look forward to eternal rewards & everlasting glory! By giving our all to the Lord we are going to receive so much more.--What a small price to pay for all we're getting in return!

God Is Still On The Throne & Prayer Changes Things!

Most people today seem to put the stories of Jesus & His disciples way back in the past. They're looked on as fairy tales. They have no reality to them. God is far away, Heaven is far away, Jesus has long been dead, everything's so far away! But the Lord is just as real as ever & can still do the same, & even more so. God is still alive, well & working just as powerfully as ever amongst those that trust in Him! He says in the Bible, "I am the Lord, I change not" (Mal.3:6), & "Jesus Christ: The same yesterday, today & forever!" (Heb.13:8) The day of miracles is not past! God's Word & His guarantees have no restrictions, no limitations, no qualifications except our faith.

All God asks of us is that we honor Him with faith, by believing the promises in His Word. When you pray, bring those promises with you to remind Him. When you remind God of His Word, it shows you have faith in it. It's a positive declaration of your faith & your knowledge of the Word which pleases God. So quote Scriptures & hold God to His Word!

"Keep on believing, God answers prayer!
Keep on believing, He's still up there!"

He has never failed in one of His good promises! (1Kgs.8:56)

"We Walk By Faith, Not By Sight!"

So many people today say, "I'll believe it when I see it!--Seeing is believing!" But that's not the way faith works! To the Christian, believing is seeing! God wants us to trust Him & believe first of all, & then we'll see the answer. He puts us through that period of faith & believing & trusting to see if we really love Him & are willing to trust Him. He wants to see if we really have faith! He appreciates our faith to believe what we cannot see.

We can't expect faith from God for our situation when we're looking at the waves, looking at ourselves, looking at conditions instead of looking at God! Man says, "Tie up in port. Don't attempt the impossible; you'll sink!" God says, "Launch out into the deep! Cast forth your nets & I'll give you such a draft there will not be room enough to hold it!" Man says, "Look at the condition of your vessel! You can't do it!" God says, "Look at Me!" "With man it is impossible; with God, nothing shall be impossible, & all things are possible to him that believeth!"

"Keep your eyes on Jesus!
His promises avail!
Keep your eyes on Jesus!
His Word can never fail!"

Have You Been Filled With The Spirit Of God's Love?

Before the time of Christ, God only anointed certain leaders, kings & prophets with His Spirit, but now His Holy Spirit is for all who receive the Lord! "And it shall come to pass that in the Last Days, saith God, I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh." (Joel 2:28)

Ever since the Day of Pentecost, when the first disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit, the Lord has made every single individual Christian responsible, directly, to the Holy Spirit. Now everybody can have the Holy Spirit & be led individually by the Lord. Now we can all enjoy Him together anywhere, everywhere, any time, all the time, in all His power & fullness, & we can all be reached equally, fairly & simultaneously through the communication of the Holy Spirit.

Everyone who receives Jesus as their Savior is given a certain amount of the Spirit, but receiving a complete infilling, or "baptism" of the Holy Spirit is usually a subsequent experience to that of Salvation. This is why the Apostle Paul inquired of certain disciples that he met, "Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed?" (Acts 19:2) If you are saved, this power from God is yours for the asking! (Lk.11:13)

Healing Is A Reward Contingent On Obedience

It's true that "many are the afflictions of the righteous, & the Lord delivereth him out of them all" (Psa.34:19), but sometimes you have to meet certain conditions before the Lord will deliver you.

Whenever He doesn't deliver you & He allows the Devil to still plague you & to leave a thorn in your flesh, it's for a purpose, & He won't deliver you until you obey. If you're not willing to pay the price God requires for healing, He won't heal you! Only the obedient get healing. Health is a special blessing of God. You can only demand & expect it in prayer if you're obedient to the Lord. But if you're disobedient you can't demand anything!

Once God's forgiven you & healed you, then you'd better be sure you stick to the limits & the regulations & the rules & His Will & whatever conditions He has laid down, knowing that your health & well-being depends utterly on Him!

When you're healed, just remember it's a special blessings, a priceless privilege, which He can take away if you don't keep trusting Him for it & giving Him all the glory! So stay close to the Lord & do the things that He healed you for!--Use that strength that God gives you for His glory!

Why Does The Lord Allow The Devil To Test Us?

God protects His children, but has anything bad ever happened to you since you've been saved? Has the Lord ever let the Enemy touch you in some way through an accident, affliction, mistake or trouble? "Not a hair of your head falls except the Father knoweth it!" (Mat.10:30; Lk.21:18)--But He does allow it sometimes!

Look at what happened to Job! Was it his fault? Had he sinned? No.--It happened because the Devil asked God if he could test & tempt Job to see if he could break him & make him deny the Lord! The Lord let him take away all Job's wealth, then his family, & finally his health. It was all a test, perpetrated by the Devil but allowed by the Lord in order to show that Job really loved Him in spite of it all!

The Lord will not allow us to be tempted above that which we are able to bear. (1Cor.10:13) He doesn't let the Devil give us more than we can take, but He does let him test our faith to see if we'll really flee to the Lord & quote His Word & take a stand of faith. It's one way the Lord has of trying to keep you close to Him, constantly dependent upon Him & His protection!--And when we pass the test, God always delivers us!--Like He did Job!

To Learn All The Lessons The Lord Is Trying To Teach You, You Need To Pray & Ask Him About Them!

You can go all through your life & miss so many of the things the Lord is trying to teach you! Some things are so obvious you don't really have to ask the Lord. But many things aren't so obvious, & you can miss the point if you don't ask Him, or if you don't open your eyes to it or if you don't take it as from the Lord!

It's so sad, because so many little things happen all the time that the Lord wants to use to teach you & to speak to you through, but if you don't look at it as a message from the Lord, then it just passes, & you don't get it, you don't learn from it & it's wasted! What could have been a lesson & what the Lord wants to be a lesson for you, may not be a lesson if you don't take the time to ask the Lord, "What are You trying to show me?"

But if you take time to think about it & pray & ask the Lord, He'll show you. The answer is there all the time, if you'll just open your eyes to it & ask for it! But by the same token if you don't ask, a lot of times you don't receive! "Ask & ye shall receive!" (Mat.7:7) So seek the Lord!--Amen?

To Be "Faithful Unto Death," Just Be Faithful Today!

The best thing that we could possibly ask of the Lord for ourselves is that we all be faithful! "Be thou faithful unto death," He says, "and I will give you a crown of life!" (Rev.2:10)

If you think about trying to be faithful the rest of your life, that just scares you, that worries you! That's just too big, you'll never make it!--But what about today? You may have had your little trials & testings, you may have gotten discouraged, you may have made mistakes. But have you still got your faith today?--Then you're full of faith! You've been faithful today!

You can only live one day at a time! You can only be faithful one day at a time! So don't worry about when you weren't faithful yesterday or whether you're going to be faithful tomorrow, but do your best to be faithful today! Just be faithful one day at a time. You don't even have to have faith for a whole day. The only faith you need is what you have got right now!--Just have faith for this moment, right now, one moment at a time.

Just be faithful every day, one day at a time, & you will inherit an eternal crown of life!

Grace Plus Faith Plus Nothing!--That's Salvation!

Jesus, God's Gift of Love to us, is just that--a gift--& we just have to receive Him humbly, knowing that we can't possibly pay enough to buy our way into Heaven, to buy eternal life, to buy the happiness that Jesus brings. Accepting Salvation through His Word is a work of God's grace. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; & that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God!" (Eph.2:8) You can't earn a gift or else it wouldn't be a gift!

Salvation is not a reward, it's not pay, it's not wages, it is a gift that you can't earn by faithfulness or by any kind of works of your own. Your good works can't save you & your bad works can't damn you! We're saved purely by faith in Jesus, the Gift of God, by His grace. The worst sinner can go to Heaven by faith & the best person can go to Hell because of unbelief! Heaven is full of sinners!--Saved by grace through faith! Hell is full of the self-righteous religionists damned by their unbelief! (See Mat.5:20; 21:31b.)

Do you depend totally on the Lord, trust Him & His grace & His mercy & give Him all the glory & all the credit, knowing that only He can save you? It's so wonderful, it's such a relief & release when you realize that you don't have to do it!--Jesus has done it for us!

The Devil Flees When He Sees The Weakest Saint Upon His Knees!

Prayer is powerful. When we pray, things will happen & things will be different. God will answer prayer. So when you feel oppressed or attacked by the Enemy, pray & ask God to deliver you in Jesus' name. Praise the Lord & quote Scriptures! The Devil can't stand the Word, nor the Name of Jesus.--He turns tail & runs! Remember, Jonah got out of the belly of the whale when he praised the Lord & exclaimed, "Salvation is of the Lord!" (Jonah 2:9)

If you keep your mind stayed on the Lord, you'll have perfect peace. (Isa.26:3) You don't have to worry about the Devil or his power or anything else. You can always call on the Lord & through Him have power over everything!

"Be not afraid, for I am thy God!--I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My righteousness! Therefore, give no place to the Devil! For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, & of love, & of a sound mind! In nothing be terrified by your adversary, the Devil!--Thanks be unto God Who giveth us the victory!"

God Will Give You The Spiritual Solutions While You're Alone With Him, That Will Just Make The Mountains Of Your Problems Melt Away!

You will get a lot more done for the Lord if you will simply spend more time in prayer, alone with God. Unless you get quiet & try to seek the Lord, how are you ever going to get anything from the Lord? You will get more from the Lord alone & quiet than any other way.--Because He can talk to you alone, & you can give Him your full attention & the reverence due Him! Even Jesus had to get up at the break of day before His disciples, & walk out across the hills or up in the mountain to get alone with God & hear from His Father.

You're going to have to get quiet by yourself--somewhere, somehow, sometime--if you're going to hear from the Lord! You've got to know you can't solve your problems in your own strength, & be desperate for God's solutions, & stop everything else, & listen!--So help us, Jesus, to remember that we can't go on without the Heavenly vision that You give. We all need more quiet time alone with Thee, to rest & nestle in Thy arms & be refreshed & re-strengthened by Thy Spirit, to just have Thee alone to think about & pray about, & to get close to Thee without any other distractions. Thank You Jesus!

The Meaning Of Our Existence Is To Show Love To The World!

The World knows so much hell, let's show them a little Heaven! This is surely what we're trying to do: Lead people out of the pit of the Devil's materialism, sin & darkness, & into the glorious light & Love of God's Salvation & the wonderful fellowship of the Kingdom of God! We can each accomplish some real good in this poor, sad, old World of ours by helping people find joy & happiness, Salvation & Jesus & something to live for!

But perhaps you're discouraged & think there's nothing you can do to change things for the better, so what's the use of trying?--Well, there's one thing that everybody has that you cannot be without; everybody has influence, "For no man liveth to himself & no man dieth to himself." (Rom.14:7) Your life is bound to affect others. In fact, showing just a little real love to others, really goes a long, long way, because if people can believe that you love them, then they can believe that God loves them.

Thank You, Lord, for blessing us with so many blessings, & especially the opportunity to serve You. Help each of us to be a good testimony & a witness to others, Lord, to show them Thy Love & reach them with Thy Word!

Even Though War & Confusion Is All Around You, You Can Have Peace In Your Own Heart Through The Prince Of Peace, Jesus

Even though there's war & turmoil & confusion & chaos on the outside, at last you've gotten rid of it on the inside.--And the Lord is able to keep you safe right in the middle of any trouble or chaos. So you don't ever have to worry!

Jesus never sleeps! He watches all the time. He knows every hair of your head. Everything is in His hands. "He hideth my soul in the cleft of the Rock (Jesus), that shadows a dry, thirsty land; He hideth me in the depths of His Love, & covers me there with His hand."

The Lord's able to keep you no matter where you are! And if He decides He'd rather take you home to Heaven than take care of you, then you've got it made one way or the other!--"For our lives are hid with Christ in God" & "Thou shalt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee." (Col.3:3; Isa.26:3)

He is the One Who gives you peace. Your help comes from Him. In Him is your confidence. You must put your confidence in Him.--The soundest base in the World, Jesus!

"Safe in the arms of Jesus,
Safe on His gentle breast!
There shall thy heart be happy,
There thou shalt find sweet rest!"

The Bible is an absolutely inexhaustible source of wisdom & knowledge, out of which you can constantly find "treasures new & old"! (Mat.13:52)

Anything you want, you can find in the Bible! If you love beautiful poetry & gorgeous oratory, read the Psalms & the Prophets! If you like philosophical arguments, you'll enjoy the book of Job! The Song of Solomon is sexy & romantic! Science fiction?--It's got nothing on the Bible or the future as foretold by the Lord in Daniel, Ezekiel & Revelation! The Bible is more fascinating & amazing than Greek & Roman mythology & all the legends & fairy tales of Man put together! If you want some miraculous supernatural happenings, just read the Bible! It's more thrilling, more wonderful than any other book, because it's true! It tells stories, but it doesn't tell lies! Every single passage is the truth of God!

And the most wonderful thing about the Bible is that through its life-giving Words, especially those found in the four Gospels, & the Gospel of John in particular, we can get to personally know its Author, Who alone can guarantee life & love & happiness & Heaven forever through simply reading & believing these Words of Love from Him to us! (John 20:31)

Enjoy Yourself! Enjoy Life!--But Enjoy The Lord Most Of All!

God intended for us to enjoy this life & to love Him & enjoy Him & it forever! He made all things for you to enjoy & He created the very senses with which you enjoy them. If you put God first & His Kingdom & His righteousness first, you can enjoy them all to the full, every good & perfect gift that God has sent down from above, that God Himself created for you to enjoy, as His child. (Mat.6:33; Jam.1:17)

Enjoy the pleasures which God has given you to enjoy as much as you please & as much as you need; just don't enjoy them more than Him & more than His Love. If you have an inordinate desire for too much of these things & worship these things more than God--then it becomes a sin! (1Jn.2:15,16) Don't let them take first place in your life, because God will not take second place! He wants your love above all others. He wants to be your God above all others, & He will have no other gods before Him! (Exo.20:3)

Be sure that you put God first! Love & worship Him above all & thank Him for all of these things that He has given us to enjoy! Then you can have all this & Heaven too! Amen?

God Never Gives Us Burdens Greater Than We Are Able To Bear

God is a loving & merciful God. He knows your frame; He remembers that you're but dust & He knows how much you can stand. (Psa.103:8-14) Even of our service for Him, Jesus said, "My yoke is easy, & My burden is light! Come unto Me, & I will give you rest!" (Mat.11:28-30)

So if the yoke gets too hard & the burden too heavy, it's not His yoke nor His burden, but our own or someone else's which we've unwisely undertaken or permitted to be placed upon us beyond the Lord's knowledge of our strength & abilities!--Or maybe you're trying to carry too much & pull too hard, instead of letting God do it through you by His power, His Love, His grace & His strength!

The Devil tries to come along & tempt you to quit, "Oh, that's too hard, that's too much, that's too heavy!"--But Jesus said it is not!

The Lord's yoke is not too hard & His burden is not too heavy. So if you take it from the Lord & do His Will it's not going to be too hard or too heavy. He Himself will never suffer us to be tempted above that which we are able! He's promised to always give us some way of escape!

You'll Never Know The True Power Of Love Until You Learn The True Power Of Surrender!

We can only find fullness of faith when we are willing to yield our pride & our own will to the Lord. Like Jesus said in the Garden, "If it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Thine be done!" (Mat.26:39) He has to have our cooperation. Submission is the first step. If we are unwilling to take that step, we won't be able to go to other steps! We have to make the decision. He'll do everything else for us--give us strength, wisdom, life & love. All that He asks is for us to commit ourselves. He likes for us to freely choose & yield to Him because we love Him.

Total love gives all! But if we give our all to Him, He gives His all to us! You can have peace & power that you've never known before--with Jesus--if you'll just let Him control your life. Have faith in God's Love & yield yourself to Him in submission & humility & let Him empower you!

There is an inner Wellspring deep within my soul:
Jesus, precious Jesus, has at last Complete control!"

One Of The Biggest Lessons You're Gonna Have To Learn Is To Wait For The Lord To Work!

If you don't know what to do, stop everything! The worst thing in the World you can do is to keep on going when you don't know what to do! That was King Saul's mistake & it absolutely lost him the Kingdom! Stop to look before you leap, & you may not have to leap at all!

Time itself solves so many problems: A few minutes, a few hours, a few days, & we find that God has taken care of things without our help! Give God a chance! Give Him time! Wait on the Lord! Take time to hear from God, & He'll take the time to straighten out the problem.

When you don't know where to go, sit still! When you're driving your car through a fog & it becomes so dense you can't see, you don't just keep on driving.--You pull over to one side & wait. Sit still until the fog lifts & you can clearly see your way!

So slow down! Stop! Look! Listen!--And wait! Trying to force the situation & push your way through just won't work! He says, "Be still & know that I am God! In all thy ways acknowledge Him, & He shall direct thy paths." (Psa.46:10; Pro.3:6)

"It Is Not Good That The Man Should Be Alone: I Will Make Him An Help Meet For Him."

Although Adam had the Lord & the whole World to himself in the Garden of Eden, he wasn't truly happy or satisfied without a woman! He looked each of the animals over trying to decide not only their names, but which one could be his companion. But none of them fully met his needs, so God finally created a very lovely helpmeet for him, which was God's intention all along! Adam must have been pretty desperate for a mate by that time, but the Lord perhaps had to help Adam to see & realise his need so he'd really appreciate her when she finally arrived!

God put Adam to sleep & He took out one of his ribs & made a woman out of it! Why didn't God take a bone out of his head?--She might have tried to be the head of the house. Why didn't He take a bone out of his foot?--He might have wanted to step all over her then. He took a piece of Adam close to his heart so that she'd be close to his heart!

God knows we all need companionship & a helpmeet to stand by us continually, & if we'll just wait & be patient, God will always bring along the right mate, & by that time we'll really appreciate them!

You Must Learn To Live In The Lord's Strength, You Cannot Live In Your Own!

If you try to do the Master's work without the Master's power, you're tackling an impossible task! You cannot strive & wrest in your own strength. You must look to the Lord in very earnest prayer for the strength & the spirit & inspiration to help you through, or you're apt to wear yourself out.

It's like the story of the small boy who was trying very hard to lift a heavy object when his father came into the room & asked him, "Are you using all your strength?" "Yes, of course I am," the boy impatiently exclaimed. "No, you're not," the father answered, "you haven't asked me to help you!"-- Even a little help from Jesus is a bigger help than everybody else can give you! A little help from the Lord is the biggest help you can get! And that's all the help we need, just a little help from Jesus. Just a little help from Jesus will make it right, all right! Without Him you're nothing, but with Him you're everything! (John 15:5; Phi.4:13)

"Give me a task too big, too hard for human hands, then shall I come at length to lean on Thee, & leaning find my strength."
