What are your heart's desires? If you delight yourself in the Lord & His service, He's promised to give you the desire of your heart! (Psa.37:4)

The Lord apparently feels that nothing is too good for His obedient children. If we please Him, we not only get what we need, but usually we even get whatever we want, even above our needs, "exceedingly above & beyond all that we could ask or think!" (Eph.3:20)

He's willing to do almost anything for us & give us anything that's good for us. But the Lord doesn't always necessarily let us have everything, because it's not always good for us! He tried that on the children of Israel! He let them have the desires of their hearts, a few times when it wasn't good for them, & He sent leanness to their souls! (Psa.106:15)

Lord, if we'll just pass the test & put you first, delight ourselves in you & Yours most of all, then You can trust us with other things, everything we need & even things we want, because they will not come between You & us! If it's good for us, You let us have it, Lord, & if it's not good for us, please keep it from us! In Jesus' name.--Amen!

Real Love Is To Fulfil The Part That God Created You To Play

God said to King Saul, "I will make thee another man" (1Sam.10:6), & to David too--God made him another man. He turned him into something he wasn't. It's almost like playing a role. But when God has given you a role to play & you can put your heart into it & play it with enthusiasm & real inspiration of the Lord, you become that creation of God!

God has His Own plan. God has His Own ways. God knows what He's doing. So for God's sake, let Him do it & just look to Him to find out what He's doing, & what He wants you to do. What you don't want to do is miss His best--the highest & best thing God wants you to do!--The boat that could get you to where you can really accomplish something, God's special place for you in His Kingdom!

If you're willing to be what God wants you to be, not what you are, but what God wants you to be, then He can mightily use you! So are you willing, not to present your program to God for His signature, not even to be presented with God's program for your signature--but are you willing to sign a blank sheet of paper & let God fill it in without your even knowing what His program is going to be?

God Is Our Sun!

God created the Sun, the Moon, the stars & the Earth & the planets to illustrate His spiritual truths so we could better understand our relationship with Him & how necessary He is to our spiritual solar system.

Life itself wouldn't be possible without the Sun! Without the light of the Sun we'd be in total darkness except for starlight, just as without the Lord we would be in almost total spiritual darkness. Without the warmth & heat of the Sun's rays, we'd also freeze to death, just like without the Lord we'd be dead cold spiritually! Without the Sun's rays there would be no photosynthetic process which causes the plants which provide our food to grow; so we'd die spiritually of hunger without the Lord to feed us spiritually. Without the Sun's gravitational pull on the Earth, instead of staying in its well-planned orbit, the Earth would go wandering off through space. So without God's guidance, His gravitational pull on us in the spirit, we too would certainly get out of the well-planned orbit of His Will, & we'd go wandering off into the darkness of spiritual space!

If the Sun has that much power, think how much power our spiritual Sun, God, has & how much we need Him!

Why Did The Devil & Man Cook Up The Ridiculous, Idiotic Scheme Of Evolution?--To Try To Get Rid Of God!

What did the Devil know he had to do to prevent people from believing in Christ? He knew he had to destroy their belief in the Book of Genesis, the story of Creation!--And Charles Darwin was the Devil's tool who finally gave the World the excuse it was looking for to not believe in God!

People automatically think of evolution when they hear mention of God, because that's the whole purpose of evolution: To eliminate faith in God & to foster the false doctrine of devils that the Creation created itself, so there doesn't need to be a God.--It could have happened without Him!

Evolution is really a religion of unbelief in God.--And it is a religion which has to be believed by faith, because as far as any proofs of evolution are concerned, even Margaret Meade, the famous anthropologist admitted, "We as honest scientists must confess that science has yet to discover one single iota (tiny speck) of concrete evidence to prove it!"

Evolution!--That's the Devil's greatest lie & most clever piece of teaching, because if he can get people to doubt one word in the Bible, they'll soon doubt the whole Bible! (Luke 16:31) Don't let it happen to you! (1Tim.6:20)

"Whatever You Spend," The Lord Says, "I Will Repay!"

Do you remember who else said that?--The Good Samaritan! It's from the parable that the Lord told about the poor man that was beaten & robbed along the road by thieves, & the Good Samaritan picked him up & took him to the inn & told the innkeeper, "Whatsoever thou spendest, I will repay thee." (Luk.10:30-37)

The Good Samaritan is really the Lord, & the innkeeper is His steward, like you or me!--And whatever we spend to help in His Work of rescuing lives & saving souls, He will more than repay! In fact, He has promised that if we obey Him & open the windows of our lives upon others, He "will open the windows of Heaven, & pour out such a blessing, there will not be room enough to hold it!" (Mal.3:10)

That's the way God is: As you pour out, He'll pour in, & He'll never let you outgive Him! He always gives you much, much more than you ever give! As long as you will continue to overflow on others, God will continue to overflow His blessings upon you! And the more you give, the more He'll give you back in every way!

Why don't you try it & see what a blessing you can be & how much God will bless you for it!

You Are His Proof!

The Apostle Paul was a great witness for the Lord, & almost every single time that he was brought before kings & judges, he invariably started his witness with his own personal testimony: "This is what happened to me!" (See Acts 26.)

People are interested in people! Life stories are more effective in witnessing than getting into theological arguments & preaching sermons. When you start telling people your life story, "This is what happened to me & this is my testimony!" instantly you have their attention, they're fascinated. When you tell them your own personal experience, if you say it with sincerity in the power of the Spirit, they will believe that you're telling the truth!--Your testimony is one thing they cannot deny! And the moment they confess that it's happened to you, then they can confess that it's possible for it to happen to them! Win them to yourself & your own happiness first, then they will want what makes you that way!

You're the proof of the pudding! You are the product of the Gospel & the Love of Jesus!--So tell others of how His miracle-working power has worked in your own life, as a genuine living sample & proof of what He can do!

One Way To Find The Will Of God Is To Ask For A Sign, For A Fleece, Some Visible Indication

A fleece is like a contract between you & the Lord! You make a bargain with God, you make Him an offer. You specify the kind of revelation you want.--Like Gideon did!

Gideon laid a fleece on the ground & said, "Now Lord, if the fleece is wet in the morning & all the ground's dry, then I'll know that such-&-such is Your Will!" But when the Lord did it he still wasn't sure, so the next evening he said, "Now Lord, if the fleece is dry & the ground is wet, I'll believe it!" So the Lord did it, & Gideon then knew that God was with him. If the Lord hadn't performed a miracle with the fleece, Gideon might have quit entirely & lost heart. But when the Lord answered, that certainly was a miracle! (Judges 6:36-40)

When the Lord answers a fleece, then you've got to have the faith that it was God, & that that's the right answer.--And when you make a deal with God, you'd better stick to it no matter what. It's just as important for you to keep Your part of the bargain & keep your word as it is for God to keep His! It's a test of faith! So make a wise fleece, then stick to it, & you'll know it's God's answer!

Only The Lord Can Keep You Faithful!

Too many people think about faithfulness as being some kind of a thing that they must work up. But faith is a gift of God. You just have to depend on the Lord to keep you faithful, & trust Him that your faith won't fail. Faith comes from Him.

All you have to do if you don't have enough faith is just hear the Word, read the Word. That's the source of faith. (Rom.10:17) You have to give Him a little cooperation, listen, read & obey, but that's the easy part. It's His job to keep you faithful, full of faith!

So quit trying so hard! Quit worrying about it! Quit trying to work it up or even pray it down! Just keep trusting the Lord, & He'll give you all the faith you need!

"Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, & to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior", commit your way, your life, your mind, your thoughts, your time! "For I know Whom I have believed, & am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day." (Jude 24,25; 2Tim.1:12) Praise the Lord! Only He can do it!

What's The Duty Of Every Christian?--To Witness, To Be A Testimony, To Preach The Gospel Of Jesus' Love!

If the whole purpose of our existence is just to get saved, then why doesn't the Lord just take us home to Heaven the minute we get saved?--because once we're saved, we have a job to do! We have a responsibility! There are a lot of other people who need to know Jesus, & He has given us a commission: "And He said unto them, Go ye into all the World, & preach the Gospel to every creature!" (Mk.16:15)

Jesus alone saves, but He doesn't want to save you alone. He wants to save the whole World, but in order to do that He needs us to tell others about His Love, to give His Love & message of Salvation, the Gospel, the Good News, to the whole World. (See Rom.10:13-15.)

Jesus said, "Even as My Father hath sent Me, so send I you." (Jn.20:21) He says this still to His followers of today, calling them to give their lives daily in loving concern & care for others, to share His heart & Love with those who are seeking for "the Way, the Truth, & the Life." (Jn.14:6)

Will you answer His call? Will you love & do what you can to win souls? Will you spread the Word, spread the Message, spread His Love?--God will bless you as you obey His Call!

Everybody Is Somebody's Fool! -- Whose Fool Are You?

Some people just don't seem to understand the miracle of conversion & the idealistic desire to devote one's entire life to God's service. "For the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit, for they are foolishness unto him!" (1Cor.2:14)--Many have been thought to have suddenly gone mad, like the Apostle Paul, or been "driven crazy by religion," because there was such a sudden change in their lives. (See Acts 26:24; Mk.3:21; Jn.10:20.)

In fact, nearly all the prophets & men of God throughout the Bible & past ages were thought to have been nuts by the rest of the World: Dreamers, visionaries, hearing voices, having hallucinations, & pretty well flipped-out over religion. It all depends on who is calling who mad! If people think we're a little eccentric, or off-center, it's not because we're off the center--it's because they're wobbling around themselves, away off the one & only true Center, Jesus Christ! Man without God is off center, insane.--They're the ones who are not in their right minds, because they can't possibly know what's right without Jesus!

"He Shall Rule The Nations With A Rod Of Iron!"

God is Love, & today He's showing His Love to the World--His patience, His mercy, His longsuffering, His forgiveness! He's showing Love to the World to try to get them to Love Him!

But the day is coming when, if all else fails & they reject His Love, He will rule them with a rod of iron & of force!--Not because His Love failed, but because the wicked of this World failed to receive His Love. It is they who cause the failure, their own failure!

The coming thousand-year reign of Christ on the Earth will be a period of forcing such people to obey-whether they like it or not! There will still be free will & there will still be choice, but God will not let rebellious Man have his wicked way! Since they failed to appreciate His Love & to obey Him in love voluntarily, He is going to rule the World with a rod of iron, of force, & they are going to be compelled to serve & worship & obey Him whether they like it or not!--By force!

He's trying to love you into His Kingdom today. So accept His rule & reign in your heart now by your own free & loving choice!

Spend Your Life Losing Your Life For Others.--That's The Secret Of Saving It!

Jesus said, "He that saveth his life shall lose it, but he that loseth his life for My sake & the Gospel's, the same shall save it!" (Mk.8:35) "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God!" (Mat.6:33)--And what is His Kingdom? His Kingdom is souls! His Kingdom is missionary work! His Kingdom is reaching the lost with the Gospel! Jesus didn't commission us to save ourselves, He commissioned us & called us into His army to save others!

Do you want to save your life?--Then lose it for Jesus & the Gospel, preaching it to others! Live & die for Jesus, & He will take care of you! Obey Him & do His Will & get out to the mission field, serving the Lord & winning souls!--Or help those who are!

But the fastest way to lose your life is to try to save it! "O thou fool, this night shall thy soul be required of thee!" (Lk.12:20)--What a warning! You're going to be sorry if you suddenly have to face the Lord & you didn't do what He told you to do, to seek first the Kingdom!

So heed His call & take up the challenge & take up the cross & do your best to share His Love with others.

Jesus Had To Come Here To Learn Through This Life's Experiences, & The Same Is True Of Us!

"Though Jesus was a Son, yet learned He obedience through the things which He suffered." (Heb.5:8) Why did He have to learn? Wasn't He God? Didn't He know everything?

The main thing His Heavenly Father was trying to show Him was how to Love Mankind, how to love people, how to love them enough to be willing to die for them!--To see their suffering, to have compassion on them, to want to heal their sick & save their souls, that's what Jesus learned while He was here! He learned to love us enough to be willing to choose to actually die for us, to save not only our bodies, but our immortal spirits, our souls!

Why did He have to learn those things?--Just to be forgotten & left behind when He left this World? No! To take all that with Him, all that knowledge, all that experience, & to thereby have a greater sympathy & love for us & be a greater help to us both now & hereafter! (See Heb.4:15,16.)

If even Jesus learned obedience to the Father through the things which He suffered here on Earth, how much more are we here to learn?

Don't Underestimate The Power That God Has Given Each Of Us! According To Your Faith Be It Unto You!

God's Word tells His children, "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the World!" (1John 4:4) In other words, God is saying, "My power in you is much greater than the Devil's power in his children, the children of the World.--Much greater!"--In fact, their power is so puny compared to the power of God, that they're like little kids playing with matches while we've got lightning bolts! The power of God's Holy Spirit of Love is the greatest power on Earth!

If you totally yield yourself to the Lord in submission & humility, then He will empower you & fill you with His Spirit!--You then become a powerhouse, a generator of the Spirit of God!--It's like you have a big electric power cable in your hand, but you're so in tune with it yourself that you can hold the cable & use its power to create, to mend, to heal & to love.--"For with God nothing shall be impossible, & all things are possible to him that believeth!" (Luke.1:37; Mark 9:23) Are you "Strong in the Lord & in the power of His might?" (Eph.6:10)--If not, receive power now by asking Him to fill & renew you with His Holy Spirit! (Acts 1:8; Tit.3:5)

If Your Heart's Desire Is To Please The Lord, The Lord Will Usually Let You Do As You Please!

Your personal burdens are often a fairly good indicator of what the Lord wants you to do because He has promised: "Delight thyself also in the Lord; & He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." (Psa.37:4)

Your personal desire in the matter often has a great deal to do with God's Will, because He gives us what we want & have faith for! If a certain thing is God's Will for you, & you're yielded to the Lord, you'll have an inner conviction about it--the witness of the Spirit! In your heart you'll feel that you have faith, & you'll just know that's the Will of God for you! God gives burdens for different ministries & mission fields to different people & then He gives them faith for that ministry or for reaching those people!

The Lord is able to make you want & like to do what He wants you to do. If you love the Lord with all your heart, your personal desires are usually the right ones, because you only want to please Him! So delight yourself in the Lord most of all & seek to do His Will. When you do, it is His delight to also give you the desires of your own heart, because He's the One who puts them there when you're pleasing Him!

God Said He Would Open Doors That No Man Could Close!

Circumstances & conditions are not always the final criteria or answer to finding the Will of God, but they are sometimes a helpful indication. Often this is how He gets us to do things: By closing some doors & opening others! So it's wise to ask yourself, which way does God seem to be leading? Where are the opportunities of service? Which direction does it seem that God is providing the way & the means?

Where God guides, He provides.--And where He's providing open doors, He's obviously guiding! He doesn't open doors that He doesn't want you to enter. God has certain set-ups which are golden opportunities. So don't fail God in failing to pursue those opportunities that He gives, the doors that He opens! As long as God is blessing you & making you fruitful & making you a blessing, pursue it! Go through such doors & take advantage of the golden opportunities!

Lead & guide us, Lord, according to what You know is best! If we follow Thy leading & Thy Will, Lord, then we know You'll open the doors & make the way & everything will work out according to Your Will!

"The Hand That Rocks The Cradle Rules The World!"

Mothers of the next generation are the ones who are molding the future! Motherhood is just about the greatest calling in the World! What an important job a mother has!--Of course, it may sometimes not seem very important taking care of nothing but a baby. But don't ever despise it or minimize it. It is a serious sobering responsibility! Who knows how important that child may be to the Lord one day?

Motherhood is a big job! It takes the strength of Samson, the wisdom of Solomon, the patience of Job & the faith of Abraham, the insight of Daniel & the courage & administrative ability of David!--It also takes the Love of God, that's for sure!--What a job!

The thing that makes a mother so wonderful is that self-sacrificial spirit that is willing to sacrifice her own time, her strength & even her health for the sake of that child. Any mother can have a baby, but it takes a real mother to learn how to "train up a child in the way he should go!" (Pro.22:6)

"The bravest battle that ever was fought,
Shall I tell you where & when?
On the maps of the World you will find it not,
It was fought by the mothers of men!"

Music Is Important To The Lord!

Music Is Important To The Lord!

Music is so important that God's children have used it for many purposes throughout history! In fact, they not only played music & sang songs, but they recorded them as well!--Not with the advanced methods we use today, but in whatever ways they could, & you can read in the Bible the recorded words of some of the earliest Christian songs.

Moses was a singer & writer. David wrote a whole book of songs, the Book of Psalms! Jeremiah wrote a song now known as Lamentations. Hannah, the mother of Samuel, wrote songs (1Sam.2), & Deborah & Barak sang a duet before the Children of Israel! (Judges 5) The Lord even used musical instruments to save His children from their enemies, like the trumpets which caused the walls of Jericho to fall (Joshua 6), & the Midianites to flee from Gideon's meager army of 300 men. (Judges 7) You can read all through the Bible how God's children were constantly singing & making a "joyful noise unto the Lord." (Psa.100:1) Even Jesus & His disciples sang songs (Mat.26:30), & Paul exhorts that we should all sing psalms & spiritual songs. (Col.3:16) John even heard singing in Heaven--the song of Moses! (Rev.15:2,3)

So "come, let us sing unto the Lord!" (Psa.95:1)

Never Underestimate The Power Of God's Word!

The Word is mightier than the sword! "Heaven & Earth shall pass away, but God's Word shall never pass away!" (Mat.24:35)--So use the Word & spread His Truth & His Love through every means at your command to share God's light, hope, life, Love, peace & plenty with others!

There's power in the Word of God--so use the Word!--For only the Sword of God's Word is sharp enough to pierce the hard shell of defensiveness that many put up, so that the warmth of His Spirit of Love can flow into their hearts that hunger for it.

When you quote the Word, you know you're right! When you preach Jesus, you know you're right! You don't even have to worry about whether they're accepting it or not.--It's the truth, whether they receive it or not! When you're giving others the Word, sharing the Scripture, preaching the Word, you're getting out something that cannot fail. Not one Word shall fall to the ground, wasted! The Lord has promised that His Word will accomplish the purpose He sent it to! (Isaiah 55:10,11) So wield the "Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God" as you share the Lord's Love with others! (Eph.6:17)--And it will live in their hearts forever!

It's Not Forever That Loved Ones Will Be Gone

Death is a sad parting, even for Christians. It's a sad parting for those of us who are left behind, & in a way it's even sad for those who go on, to have to leave us behind for a little while. But thank God, our sorrow is not as those who have no hope, for we know we're going to be reunited again soon! We may have to be apart for a little while, away from each other a little, but we'll appreciate each other even more than ever when we're joined together again, when we're reunited again in that great wonderful marvelous reunion in Heaven!--What a day of rejoicing that will be!

"Death doth hide, but not divide! Thou art but on Christ's other side. Thou art with Christ, & Christ with me, in Him united still are we!"--Our dear ones are with the Lord, & if we keep near to Him, we cannot be far from them!

"Does Jesus care when I've said good-bye,
To the dearest on Earth to me?
When my sad heart aches, till it nearly breaks,
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?
Oh, yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
Though the days be weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares!"

--And He will reunite us soon!

"Bring Forth Fruits Meet For Repentance!"

True repentance is not just being sorry, it is "metanoia", Greek for a complete change of heart, mind & direction!

Many people are always being sorry but never really changing--like King Saul! Poor Saul never learned! He apologized & was sorry many times, but he never repented, he never changed, he never turned & went the other way! Saul would break down & weep before the prophet, & he would break down & weep before David, but he didn't weep because he was repentant, he wept because he was sorry he was being caught! (1Sam.15:24-30) He wept because he was sorry over losing the kingdom, but he didn't really confess & forsake his sin, the evil root beneath the outer show. (Pro.28:13)

Though King David also committed great sins, he had a great repentance--a genuine true change, & therefore God had a great forgiveness for him. He sought God's heart. (Psa.51) He really loved the Lord & he really wanted to glorify God & to please Him! In spite of all his sins & mistakes & blunders, the Lord loved David because he was willing to fight & die for Him!--And David went on to do a job for God in spite of all his sins!

We All Need To Learn To Communicate More & Be More Honest With One Another & More Open About Ourselves!

When you're having a trial or a problem, you should never complain or spread your doubts & murmurs about it.--But that doesn't mean you can't ask for counsel or prayer about your problem!

Some people keep things in & suffer through their whole trial without asking for help or prayer. Well, you can admire them for that, for being able to take it.--But wouldn't it be better if they would just honestly confess that they need help & prayer? Suffering in silence just makes everybody miserable. Spilling it all out prevents a lot of misunderstandings & it gets you some prayer, at least, & some sympathy--everything you like to have when you're going through a trial! (Jam.5:16)

Many times it really helps to talk about your problem, but of course you should preferably find someone who is spiritually strong, because you don't want to stumble others or bring them down or discourage them in any way!

We all need the encouragement of others, & you can at least ask for prayer, which in itself does a lot of good! "One can chase a thousand but two can put ten thousand to flight!" (Deu.32:30) Amen?

When He Can Get You Out Of The Way, Then He Has A Chance!

At the age of 40, when Moses was cocky & over-confident & tried to free his people in his own strength, he was a big flop, & had to run for his life without them in a personal exodus of his own.--And it took God 40 years in the wilderness to teach him humility & utter dependence on God, until he no longer even wanted the job!--Then he was ready. He didn't think he was able, & that's good!--Because Man's extremity is God's opportunity. When you come to the end of your rope, then God has a chance to work.

He has to break us, & it's hard to be broken. Sometimes it almost makes you feel like you want to die. But then you're willing to live--for Jesus! For only from such death to self can life be born anew! (Jn.12:24,25)--"For it is no longer you that live, but Christ that lives in you, & you are now dead & your life is hid with Christ in God!" (Gal.2:20; Col.3:3)

So if you feel you are nothing & you're no good--cheer up! When you're so weak that you don't feel capable or sufficient, then God has a chance to take over & do things to suit Himself. Only He can do it! Just give Him a chance! Let go--& let God! Surrender to Him today!

Isn't It Wonderful To Know Jesus? Isn't It Wonderful To Be Saved?

"He that is our God is the God of Salvation!" (Psa. 68:20)--Total salvation--body, mind & spirit. God has rescued us from the very gates of death & Hell. If you have received Jesus, the battle for your soul is won, & it's a permanent victory of salvation forever! You'll never have to worry about going to Hell or whether you're going to go to Heaven or not. You have eternal life through Jesus, which is the Gift of God!--And you cannot lose it, for He will keep you! You are His!

God says He's blotted out thy sins as a cloud, & as a thick cloud He's put them behind His back, & will remember them against you no more. (Isaiah 44:22)--You're all clean now, not dirty any more, no longer under the power of the Enemy. You can start life all over with the Lord, for you're a new creature in Christ Jesus.--Old things are passed away & all things are new. (2Corinthians 5:17)

You're born again, a new person, God's new child!--With a new plan & purpose in living! He'll give you peace of mind, purity of heart, rest of soul & happiness of spirit now & forever!--"My sins are gone! Thank God for peace at last! The blood of Jesus covers all my past!"

What does that mean, "By His stripes we are healed"? The original Hebrew word translated here as "stripes" literally means "bruises, hurts, wounds." Just as Jesus' blood was shed for the Salvation of our spirits, His body was broken for the healing of our bodies.

Jesus didn't have to suffer in His body for our sins. He only had to shed His blood & die for our sins. But to save our bodies it took his body. His body suffered & was broken for us in a number of ways.--The crown of thorns, the beatings, the wounds, the pain & agony, so that through this He could also atone for our sicknesses!

What is atonement? It means payment that has already been made. Jesus has bought our souls or spirits with His blood & we are saved, but He has also bought our bodies with His sufferings. So if you've been sick & you need healing, claim it by faith, & it's there for you!

Do you believe that Jesus suffered for you, not only for your sins but for your body, for your sicknesses, for your healing? If so, you can claim the miraculous power of God's healing! It's yours already for the asking!

Let The Voice Of His Word Speak Directly To You!

You can read a Scripture all your life without realizing its meaning, until the Holy Spirit opens it to you & brings it to life! It's the voice of His Word when He gives it to you personally or He gives it to you in an answer.--He brings it to life, applies it to a situation & it suddenly becomes alive! It's no longer just mere words, or words that just run through your head, but all of a sudden you really get the point!

Have you ever read a passage & all of a sudden some verse or Scripture or word just hits you, "That's for me! That's the answer!"? God couldn't have spoken any more emphatically if He'd yelled it out or screamed it in your ear! It may have been written for somebody else 5,000 years ago, yet, all of a sudden, it hits you personally. The Holy Spirit grabbed ahold of that arrow, pulled back the bow & cut you to the heart!

He only has to speak the Word & it can unlock a whole situation & give you the key that unlocks the door that reveals the whole Truth! If there's a Scripture that fits the situation, He will give you the Scripture, the Word! He will use His Own Word to give you the answers. Thank the Lord for His Word!

If There's Anything Good About Us, It's Only You, Jesus!--Our Only Hope: You In Us, Lord!

Every one of us is a mess, & if we don't keep our eyes on the Lord & our mind on His Word, we're doomed to defeat, doubt, disillusionment & final failure! When Peter walked on the water, as soon as he started looking at himself, he started to sink! (Mat.14:28-31) It was no use! You have to keep your eyes on Jesus! He's the only One that can keep you from falling! Hold onto His hand & don't look at the waves!

God knows you're anything but perfect, & can't be perfect & never will be perfect, & usually you're pretty much of a mess, like the rest of us. So the only question, the only standard is: Do you depend on the Lord totally, trust Him & His grace & His Love & His mercy, & give Him all the glory & all the credit? If there's anything Good you ever do, do you give Him the glory? Do you say, "Thank Jesus, don't thank me! Thank the Lord, it's all the Lord!"?

Help us to keep our eyes on You, Jesus. Help us to keep our minds & our hearts & our faith stayed on You, in Jesus' name we ask for Thy glory. You're the One Who really does it all & we're nothing, we just have to depend on You, Jesus.--And we do, Lord, we do.

You Need To Learn To Talk To The Lord, & Learn To Listen Most Of All!

With a lot of people, prayer is a one-way street! They do all the talking, & are more concerned about having God hear what they have to say than they are about hearing what God has to say. They try to put their program across on God & get Him to sign His Name to their program. But prayer is not just speaking your piece. It is most of all letting God speak His piece!

Instead of praying, "Hear Lord, Thy servant speaketh," we should be like dear little Samuel, the child prophet, who at five years of age said, "Speak, Lord, Thy servant heareth!" (1Sam.3:10) It's not up to the King to try to go chasing His subjects around to try to get them to do what He wants. We should fear, respect, & reverence the Lord, & treat Him like the King He is. We must come to Him with respect & sincerely, in trembling, present our petition & wait in quietness & confidence until He answers! Getting quiet before the Lord shows that we have faith & are trusting Him.

God always knows what's best & chooses what's best for us, the unbeatable choice!--So learn to get His answers & you will find that He will solve all your problems!

The First Place We Look For The Will Of God Is In The Word Of God!

God's written Word is the known, sure, absolute, revealed Will of God! It's all there, all you need to know is already there in the Bible! Look in His Word, at all He's said before! If God never tells you another thing, if you never get a revelation, if you never hear a voice, if you never get a prophecy, if you never have knowledge, if you never have wisdom, if you never have discernment, if you never have the gift of healing, if you never have the gift of miracles, if you'll just operate according to the written Word of God, you'll accomplish a whole lot!

Jesus said, "Heaven & Earth shall pass away, but My Words shall never pass away!" (Mat.24:35) "Forever, O Lord, Thy Word is settled in Heaven!" (Psa.119:89) There's no question or any doubt about it! You can count on God's Word!--It never fails! "How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord, is laid for your faith in His excellent Word! What more can He say than to you He hath said, to you who for refuge to Jesus have fled!"

When He speaks to you right through His Book, you know it's right!--So look to the Word!--Amen?
