The Whole Plan Of God Is Built On Free Will, Within Certain Limitations

The name of the game, this whole game of life, is choices, constant choices! God sets choices before us all the time & then lets us make our own decisions & operate within certain bounds.

God's Will is sort of like a tunnel. It confines us & restricts us to a certain area of movement & possibility. He keeps us within certain boundaries & limitations, but which way we go in the tunnel--left or right or up or down--depends a lot on us & our choice. There's a certain leeway & allowance for variations of choice in the Will of God as long as it stays within the bounds which He has set. And though we are allowed to find our way through the tunnel any way we wish, we should be making progress with each step & not going backward.

The tunnel always leads in the right direction! It always has a goal! And of course there's always the best even within the tunnel! When we yield to the Lord & let our choices be His choices, pleasing the Lord, delighting ourselves in Him, then we go His direction in the center of His Will, following that light at the other end of the tunnel! Thank You Jesus!

He Offers Us A Pardon!

God is the Judge, Jesus is our Defense Attorney, & we're the criminals because we're all sinners! (Rom.3:23) The Devil is the Prosecuting Attorney & he demands the execution of the Law!--And of you! (Job 1:6-12; Rev.12:10b)

But Jesus went to our defense & He paid the price of our pardon, so God the Judge can set us free! And when the Devil reminds God of all your sins & iniquities, all you have to do is look to your Defense Lawyer, Jesus! (1Jn.2:1)

And Jesus just looks to the Father & says, "Father, forgive this man! This is another one of mine, Father, who has received Me & believed in Me as his Lawyer, as his Defense Attorney, as his Advocate. He has received My defense, he has received My sacrifice in his place & believes that I took his punishment for him! Therefore, Lord, You can hand him one of those pardons." And God hands down the pardon, & Jesus hands it to you, & the Devil slinks away, with his tail between his legs, defeated again!

You've got a pardon from God, no matter what you've done, because Jesus took your punishment on the cross! "The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin." (1Jn.1:7) That's the only answer you need.

You Have To Follow Him To Find Out What To Do

God has already told us to "preach the Gospel to every creature!" (Mark 16:15)--But if you don't know where to go or how to do it, just get out & start, & He will lead you! If you obey what you know God wants you to do, then He will show you more truth; & when you obey that, He'll give you a little more. And step by step, as you follow Him, He will show you more & more. But if you don't go, He can't show! If you don't obey, He can't make a way!

So follow the Lord as though everything depended on Him--which it does!--Remember to do what His Holy Spirit leads you to do so you'll be sure to stay on the right track, know where you're going, & get there. Lord, please keep us close to Thee! Help us to stay close to Thee in Thy Will, obedient, following moment by moment. Help us to follow the leadings & checks of Thy Spirit in every step we make, Lord. If we follow Thee, we'll never go wrong!

"He leadeth me!--O blessed thought!
O words with Heav'nly comfort fraught!
Whate'er I do, where'er I be,
'Tis God's hand that leadeth me!
He leadeth me, He leadeth me,
By His Own hand He leadeth me!
His faithful follower I will be,

Thank God For The Rod Of His Correction!

God is very just & very merciful & loving. He deals with His children in such love and such long-suffering and such patience, but nevertheless firmly and sometimes drastically if we need it. He is a loving God, but He's also a very good Father, and He knows how to give us chastisement for our mistakes. He sometimes has to give us a whack with the Shepherds rod to keep us on the right path or to turn us off the wrong path.

Although God's spankings are sometimes hard to take they're a token of His Love, His "intolerable compliment" and are good for us if we learn our lesson thereby and brought into happiness with Him and each other. He often has to spank us to gust us to really yield to humble us and make us more obedient, more contrite and more submitted to His Will.

Therefore, forget not "the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the Chastening of the Lord, nor lose heart when thou are rebuked of Him, for whom the Lord loveth he disciplines and correcteth every son whom He receiveth." (Heb.12:5,6) -- God's spankings are proof He loves you! So thank the Lord for His chastening rod which we have all felt if we're sons. It's such a compliment to know that we're His children!

"Beware Lest You Be Led Away From The Simplicity Of The Gospel!"

The first temptation of Man by the Devil was something to make Man supposedly wise!--Knowledge! (Gen.3:1-6) Likewise today, many books are written with the demonic Satanic wisdom of the Devil himself!--Cunningly devised to deceive & lead you astray, to pervert, warp & twist you spiritually to where you don't know what is true!

"God is not the author of confusion!" (1Cor.14:33) He likes things very simple. That's why it's wonderful to have the Bible as a guide. Then you know what's perverted & what's normal, what's right & what's wrong. But "the wisdom of this World is foolishness to God!" (1Cor.3:19)--And you cannot fill your mind & heart with Worldly wisdom, the foolishness of Man, without it affecting your spirit.--Just like you can't wade through the garbage & the gutter without getting besmirched. (See Col.2:8.)

Why waste time on complicated confused theories & thoughts of Man when the Bible is right there, so simple & direct & to the point?--Stick to the refreshing Water of the Word that feeds your soul, renews your mind, lifts your spirit, encourages your heart & purifies your whole being! Amen?

"His Banner Over Me Is Love!"

The Bible says, "God is Love," so we know that Love is God. (1John 4:8) Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love. (Mat.22:36-40)--This should be what we teach & preach, our message, our life, our goal, our everything: To love God & our neighbors as ourselves! Love is an emotion. It is something which causes you to move into action to do something good. Then you can move others.--Emoting them into motion or emotion by the loving power of God's Holy Spirit!

So step out by faith & talk to someone today about God's Love & try to make them happy! There are wonders of love that you yourself can enjoy along with some other lonely soul--if you will only try! If you give love, you'll get love! It multiplies & grows like the bread & the fish & the cruse of oil & the barrel of meal! The more you give, the more you get, & you give & give & give, & you get & get & get! (See Mat.14:15-21; 1Kings 17:11-16; 2Kings 4:2-6.)

In Jesus' name, give us love today, Lord.--That we may bring the peace & happiness & joy of the Love of Jesus Christ in our hearts to this weary old World! Thank You Jesus!

"She Hath Done What She Could!"

Remember that little quote that Jesus said about the dear woman who anointed Him before His death? He said, "She hath done what she could!"--Maybe you feel you can't do very much, but at least you can do what you can! If you're faithful, God is going to greatly reward you one of these days soon when you stand before Jesus at the "Judgment Seat of Christ." (Rom.14:10) So be sure you're doing a good work so that when you pass on to be with the Lord you will know you have done your job the best you can! Then you can look forward to eternal rewards & everlasting glory, with a feeling of genuine permanent accomplishment from a life of investment in His Work!

Have you done what you could? If you don't, you will lose your reward, miss the fruits of glorious victory, & another will take the crown that God has intended for you! (Rev.3:11) Are you going to be sorry?--Sorry for your sins of omission as well as sins of commission? May God help you, so you won't have to make the eternal lament of, "If I only had!" when the opportunity is gone forever!

"I am satisfied with Jesus, but the question comes to me as I gaze at Calvary, `Is my Savior satisfied with me?'"

The Only Difference Between Us & The So-Called "Wicked" Is That We're Saved Sinners Because We Believe, Because We've Received Christ.

Let's face it, all Mankind is wicked & sinful. "For all have sinned & come short of the glory of God." (Rom.3:23) We're all sinners. But God is not so angry at the sinner for breaking the rules.--He knows the sinner is a sinner & can't keep the rules! So the great condemnation is not that we're already sinful, which God can forgive & does forgive if we receive His pardon through Jesus. "But this is the condemnation: That Light is come into the World, & men loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were evil!" (John 3:19)

The only "unpardonable sin" is a lack of faith in Jesus, or rejection of Him as your Savior. He'll forgive you for every sin in the Book, except for rejecting Jesus--this is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth, which is the Spirit of Jesus! (Mark 3:28,29)

So you either belong to Jesus or you don't! That's the only difference God sees! God sees nothing but the blood of Jesus Christ & the blood-washed soul! "All glory & praise to the Lamb that was slain, Who hath borne all our sins & hath cleansed every stain!"--Jesus! Hallelujah!

Everything Must Be Judged From The Standpoint Of Love

When Jesus came He abolished all other laws but Love! He gave one law which fulfils all the laws of the Bible, both old & new, & that is Love!--Love for God & fellow man! (See Mat.22:37-39.) Jesus' Law of Love is all-encompassing, all fulfilling & completely above & beyond any other law. God's only law is now Love, & as long as something is done in love, with real unselfish, even sacrificial love, God's Love, then it is absolutely lawful in God's eyes.

We are not judged by how well we keep the endless, legalistic commandments of the old law--we are judged only by how much love we have & how much we give & how much we share. God now only judges us according to whether we have love or no love--whether we have love or hate--whether what we do is done for love, or selfishness & lack of love. Is it doing good or is it doing evil? Are you helping or hindering?

The only rule we can go by in every case is, "Is it love? Was it done in love?" If you know you're acting in love, then you can go ahead by faith according to God's Word & you don't need any other laws to go by, you don't need any other laws to confirm it. You're on your own according to God's only Law of Love.--So love!

"See Me, Feel Me, Touch Me, Heal Me!"--This Is The Heartcry Of The World!

There are so many people searching for love! People everywhere are looking around for some little ray of hope, some salvation, some kind of bright spot somewhere!--A little love, a little mercy, someplace where they can find some relief!--And if you can show them that love exists, then they can believe that God exists, because "God is Love!" (1John 4:8)

So the first & most important thing to show others is that you love them.--Like Jesus, Who came to love the World & calls us to do likewise in every facet of life, in every way, to give others love in Jesus' name.

Even the little things you can do mean a lot: A little bit of love goes such a long way! The light of your smile, the kindness of your face, the influence of your life, can shed light on many, & have an amazing effect among some of the people you sometimes think might be the least likely to be impressed. When they feel your love & you tell them it's God's Love, they kind of feel like, "Maybe Somebody up There does love me!"--It changes their whole outlook & gives them a real uplook!--So love!

God's Wheels Of Judgement Grind Exceeding Slow, But They Grind Exceeding Fine!

God moves kind of slowly, but He moves very thoroughly. The picture of His judgments is two great millstones grinding the grain: The grain is poured through the hole in the top millstone, which turns around & around, & the grain works its way out from the center to the edge of the stone. By the time the grain is out to the edge it's like fine powder or dust & you have flour instead of grain. Although His wheels of justice sometimes seem to grind exceeding slow, they eventually grind exceeding fine, & he that fails to be broken upon the Rock of God will someday find the Rock falling upon him & crushing him to powder & dust which the winds of His judgments will blow away, & the place thereof shall know him no more! (Mat.21:44)

But we can thank the Lord that "judgment begins at the House of the Lord!" (1Pet.4:17) We're the House of the Lord & we're already judged by the Lord, because we've accepted Him & received Him as payment for our sins. Therefore we don't have to undergo the literal judgments that the World & the unsaved are going to suffer. (1Cor.11:31,32) Thank You, Jesus, for taking our punishment for us!

Pride Doesn't Pay!

There is no branch of the Lord's work where pride pays at all! In fact, the biggest failures in the Word of God were the big-shot boys who thought they could do it in their natural wisdom, & they went out & fell flat on their faces. Samuel told Saul, "When thou wast little in thine own sight, God did highly exalt thee!" (1Sam.15:17)--But when Saul became proud, depending on himself & leaning on his own wisdom & his own arm of flesh instead of the Lord, the Lord had to abase him! "Pride cometh before a fall" (Pro.16:18), & success often precedes failure, & sometimes exaltation comes before humiliation! "Let him that thinketh he standeth, take heed lest he fall!" (1Cor.10:12)

So help us, Jesus, to keep our eyes on You so that we don't stumble or fall. Help us not to have pride in any way, Lord. Deliver us from that horrible, horrible spirit of pride. If we only knew how nothing we are! He that thinketh he is something, is nothing at all. (Gal.6:3)

A bigshot who has too big a shot of his own ego can't do as well as some little shot who has a good shot of the Holy Spirit!--O Lord, keep us close to you, Jesus, in the place of humble serenity & surrender in Thy arms.

Oh Lord, Help Us To Be Humble & Not Hardened Or Bitter

Sometimes the very thing we don't want is what God puts us through, because our unwillingness is due to our pride. He does some things to humble us, & sometimes later repeats them to see if we're still humble! It's a real test when this happens, & it often ends in murmuring. People hold it against God: "He doesn't love me, because He didn't do what I wanted Him to do!"

A little "root of bitterness" like that can grow & grow, & soon it can become a pretty big tree! Therefore, His Word warns us to "beware lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, & thereby many be defiled." (Heb.12:15)--A serious warning against the adverse results of bitterness, a very poisonous root that can defile your whole spirit! But sometimes we feel we can't stand it, we feel we have to harden our hearts in order to bear it! But that's not the solution!--Rather, "cast thy burden upon the Lord, & He shall sustain thee!" (Psa.55:22)

So, Lord, help us to learn our lesson & be better for it, Lord, not bitter. Help us to thank Thee in spite of our sorrow. Keep us humble & broken & dependent upon Thee.

You Believe In Love As Much As You Love!

If you have real love, you can't face a needy situation without doing something about it! You can't just pass by the poor man on the road to Jericho! You must take action like the Good Samaritan did! (Lk.10:30-37) It's not enough to say, "Oh, I'm so sorry, how sad!" compassion must be put into action! There was a time when Jesus was very tired & He tried to escape the multitude & retire from the scene for a little rest, but the people practically besieged Him. And when He looked on them He just couldn't rest, for the Bible says, "He was moved with compassion for the multitude, & so He healed all that came unto Him." (Mat.14:13,14; Mk.6:31-34)

You can't say that you believe in something if you don't do it, if you don't practice it! We should apply love as God intended for it to be applied: "With all thy heart, with all thy mind, & with all thy strength." (Mat.22:37)--Which means to really care & truly be concerned--not to say "I love you" & then walk off & forget it; not saying "be thou warmed & fed, when you have it beside thee." (Jam.2:16)--Love without physical application is like "faith without works, which is dead"! (Jam.2:26; 1Jn.3:18)--So show love & compassion by putting kind deeds to your kind words.--Amen?

The Lord Will Open Doors That No Man Can Close, & Close Doors That No Man Can Open!

One of the ways to know the Will of God is by open & closed doors, for where He guides, He always provides! Often this is how He gets us to do things: By closing some doors & opening others!--And we sometimes have to accept God's no in order to find His yes!

God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform, & sometimes we're just swept along by His current, even when we don't know exactly where we're going. So we should follow His leadings & His guidance. Where He's providing open doors, He's obviously guiding! So don't bother to knock: Just walk right in!

Which way does God seem to be leading you? Where do you have an open door of service? Which direction does it seem that He is providing the way & the means? Seek & trust the Lord, & He will lead & show you the way & open the door. Don't get impatient & try to batter it down! Trying to force the situation & push your way through just won't work! Be patient & wait, & He will open the door!

Let's Not Be So Self-Righteous!

If you're going to be so self-righteous & holier-than-thou & hypocritical as to think you're holier than somebody because they have sinned against you, but oh, no, you've never sinned, therefore you're not going to forgive them--then you're the biggest sinner of all!--And if you have self-righteous feelings of being better than they are, & you look down on them like the Pharisee who said, "I thank Thee, O God, that I am not as this man" (Lk.18:9-14), then that holier-than-thou, self-righteous attitude in itself is the worse sin!--In fact, self-righteousness is one of the greatest sins of all!

We should take a kind, loving, sympathetic & forgiving attitude toward others & try to have mercy as we want mercy, & treat others in their errors as we want the Lord to treat us in ours! We must forgive those who've wronged us, & seek forgiveness of those we've wronged, & take them by the hand back into our circle of love, fellowship & joyful labors together.

May we all be more humble, more patient, more loving, more kind, more forgiving & more long-suffering with each other, Lord.--And may we sincerely pray, "Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us." (Lk.11:4)

You Do Your Best, & God Will Do The Rest!

God expects us to do all we can, then He will do what we can't! When Jesus went to raise Lazarus from the dead, He told the people, "Roll ye away the stone!" (Jn.11:39) He could have made Lazarus walk right through the stone, so why did they have to roll it away?--Rolling the stone away from the door of the tomb was something they could do. They couldn't raise him from the dead, but they could roll the stone away!

God's not always going to do it for you when you can do it for yourself! He said to Moses, "What is that in thine hand?" (Exo.4:2) He usually lets you do what you can do, then He does what you can't do. Jesus said, "Seek & ye shall find, knock & it shall be opened unto you, ask & ye shall receive." (Mat.7:7,8) If you don't go around looking, you're not going to find. Maybe all nine doors are shut & you're only going to find one open, but are you just going to sit there & say, "Lord, reveal it to me"?--No! God expects you to put feet to your prayers, get out & do a little hoofing & look!

If you know you're doing your best to please & obey Him, God will do almost anything for you, some of the most amazing things you could possibly imagine! So help us, Lord, to do our part & obey! Then we know you will do the rest!

Receive God's Love by receiving the Spirit of His Son, Jesus Christ, into your own heart in a definite individual decision. He can give you everything you've always longed for, including forgiveness of sins, faith in God, love in Christ, peace of mind, health of body & joy & happiness & love & laughter forever after! He'll meet all your needs & solve all your problems. He's just that wonderful & it's all just that simple!--Receive Him today!

Waiting & Learning Patience Is Part Of Your Training

Look at all the samples in the Bible of patience: Job, Moses, & David!

Job lost everything: his family, fortune, & finally his health--everything! But he just kept on believing & obeying, saying, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him!" (Job 13:15) He hung on & would not give up! "The patience of Job!" (Jam.5:11)--An inspiring example for generations to come!

When Moses was in a hurry to deliver the children of Israel, he killed an Egyptian & had to flee alone for his own life. But after 40 years of patiently, humbly tending sheep in the wilderness, with time to listen to the Voice of God instead of his own impulses, he was finally ready for the slow, laborious, patient work of the Exodus--slow, but sure!

David spent 17 years working under King Saul, & the Lord really taught him from looking at Saul! Saul got all upset & tried to do things in his own strength, & he found he wasn't strong enough! David learned you have to let God do everything!--And wait for Him!

Learning patience is one of God's most frequent lessons to us all. So "let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect & entire, lacking nothing!" (Jam.1:4)

Nothing Is Ever Going To Stop Us--But Jesus!

The forces of evil will never be able to completely destroy God's children! In spite of innumerable major persecutions, they have never stopped them! And in spite of all the wrath of bestial atrocious Man against God's children during the coming worldwide devilish dictatorship of the Antichrist's regime, which will war on God's saints throughout three-&-a-half years of a reign of terror called the Great Tribulation, multitudes of us will still be here to joyously welcome Christ's triumphant re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere! (Mat.24:21,29-31) He's the only One Who can stop us, & He'll stop us then for a little while to take us Home for a party, the Wedding Feast of the Lamb in Heaven!--Then we'll come back here & stop them! (See Rev.19.)

So praise the Lord, Beloved! Don't feel defeated, don't get discouraged & don't worry! No matter what the enemies of Christ do, they can never stop us completely!--As Martin Luther said, "We will not fear, for God hath willed, His Truth to triumph through us!" We can't fail, Lord, because You're on our side! You're with us, & there will always be Thy children somewhere in the World, a witness right up to the very End, according to Thy Word! Praise God!

If We Can Trust Him With Our Lives, Why Can't We Trust Him With Our Deaths?

For the Christian, thinking ahead about death or Heaven is no burden anymore. It's no longer something to worry about, it's a victory! It's a release, a graduation! "O death, where is thy sting?--O grave, where is thy victory?" (1Cor.15:55-57) Death has no sting & the grave is no defeat for the Christian who has Salvation & resurrection! Our death will be a victory over the grave & a victory over sin & a victory over the Devil!--A glorious victory & a glorious entry into the heavenlies!

God knows when & how you're supposed to die. If you are a Christian & love the Lord, God has appointed a time & a place for you to die when your job is done. "For this God is our God forever & ever; He will be our guide, even unto death." (Psa.48:14) When it comes time to die, He'll give you dying grace. We do everything else in Jesus' name, so why not die in Jesus' name, & trust Him to determine the way, the time & the place for His glory?

God bless & keep you trusting even through death!--And don't worry, you will! You'll die like you lived, still trusting!

"He That Withholdeth, It Tendeth To Poverty.--But He That Scattereth Abroad, It Increaseth!"

That's the way God is: He loves to outgive you, & He'll never let you outgive Him! The more you give, the more He'll give you back! But if you are not willing to give it, God's apt to take it. If you won't give Him an offering when you can, He might take a collection which will far outweigh what you could have given!

Like with the rich man in the Bible who had such a big harvest & so many riches: Instead of deciding to share with others, he decided to build bigger barns to hold more for Himselft. (Luke 12) It wasn't the big crop which God gave him that was his sin. His biggest problem was his selfishness, the barniness of his own soul.--And all the things that he didn't want to share with others, he couldn't take with him; he lost it all! That's the way God does it, that's selfishness & its reward. But if you are willing to give, God will reward & repay & bless you so much more that you won't even be able to hold it all! He's promised that! (Mal.3:10)

Which are you doing? Withholding?--Or scattering! "With the same measure that ye mete withal, it shall be measured to you again!" (Lk.6:38)

We're Not Going To Heaven!--Heaven Is Coming Down To Us!

The place we're going to dwell with the Lord forever hereafter is not some fanciful dreamland way off in outer space, but an even more amazing dream city that is going to come down from God, out of space, to a New Earth!--And God's going to come down & live with us & we with Him! Think of that! The Dwelling Place of God is going to be with men! (Rev.21:2,3)

But first the Lord is going to purge, purify & renew the whole Earth, so that it will be perfect, beautiful, like the Garden of Eden, a New Heaven & a New Earth, & then the Holy Heavenly City--1,500 miles long, 1,500 miles wide & 1,500 miles high--is going to come down & the Lord will be restored forever as the King of kings & His Kingdom will be established as the New World order! It will be beautiful, gorgeous, incomparable, almost indescribable, the most gorgeous sight you'll ever want to see!--Full of precious stones & jewels, & best of all full of precious souls!

Are you going to be able to walk in that City? The Bible says, "Only the saved shall walk therein." (Rev.21:24) You don't want to miss that, do you?--Then receive Jesus as your Savior now!

Don't Be Self-Conscious, Be Christ-Conscious!

Shyness is a combination of two things--fear & pride! We are afraid of what people think about us. A certain amount of this is all right, we should like to be well thought of. But on the other hand, the Bible says we're not to be worried about the opinions of men, nor to fear what men think or say about us if we're doing what we know is right. (Pro.29:25; John 12: 42,43)

Timidity, shyness & bashfulness are basically fear which is the opposite of faith. So to overcome fear you must have more faith. The cure is faith, strong faith in God, & this comes through reading His Words & being filled with His Spirit! If you think about how much He loves you, you become less self-conscious & more God-conscious, & this is the cure.

Keep your mind on the Lord. "Thou shalt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee." (Isa.26:3) Immerse yourself in the Lord & He will help you forget yourself. Throw your whole heart into pleasing the Lord & sharing Him with others, & the Lord will help you to lose that self-consciousness so that you will only be conscious of Christ & His Message & His Love & your love for others!

Has He freed you from self-consciousness?

Thank The Lord For The Oil Of His Spirit That Makes Everything Run Smoothly & Quietly Without Friction!

Hardly anything mechanical in this whole World can do without some kind of oil or lubrication. Where moving parts rub together, they create friction. Friction creates heat, & heat creates fire & fire causes parts of the machine to burn up, consume! But oil that's poured on squeaky parts of a mechanism that are complaining & howling & growling & groaning makes that part of the mechanism quiet & run smoothly without complaint!

Our spirits, like machinery, need cleaning & oiling--the washing of the pure water of the Word & the oiling of the Love & patience of the Holy Spirit! If we didn't have the Oil of the Holy Spirit we would get rusty & break down or overheat from friction, slow down or stop! Without proper maintenance & lubrication, there would soon be no useful motion & we'd be fit only for God's junk pile!

But thank God, the Oil of His Holy Spirit oils everything: Our heads, our hearts, our spirits, our tongues & even our feet so we'll go & preach the Gospel! He just pours in the Holy Spirit & just fills us from top to bottom & covers every part! Thank You Jesus! (Acts 2:17,18)

And much the same as a simple little transistor radio, you have been designed by your Creator to receive those signals. God's power is always on. The message is always there. Compared to the tremendous power & complex operations of the broadcasting station, you, the operator of the receiver, need not have much power & only the simplest of skill! Prayer is the hand of faith that flips the switch & turns on what little power you have. And then the hand of hope tunes with expectancy, feeling for the frequency upon which God is broadcasting, & suddenly His great broadcasting station booms in with tremendous positive volume & power!--And the messages come through loud & clear!

Is your spiritual receiver continually turned on & tuned in to His frequency? If so, you will be in good communication with Him, constantly receiving His vibes, constantly hearing His Voice speaking to your heart!

"Be Not Weary Nor Faint In Your Minds!"

It's a struggle to live!--It takes faith & courage & a lot of fight! The trouble with some of us is that we stop trying in trying times. Some people faint in their minds. They give up mentally & they give up spiritually!

But God says, "Men ought always to pray & not to faint.--Pray without ceasing!" (Lk.18:1; 1Thes.5:17) "Be not weary in well doing for in due season ye shall reap if you faint not." (Gal.6:9)

The will is powerful! "The spirit of a man sustaineth him; but a wounded spirit, who can bear?" (Pro.18:14) Strong faith with a strong will has many times overcome seemingly insurmountable handicaps!

When you're weak & incapable & insufficient, then God has a chance to be strong & capable & sufficient in you! So don't give up too soon, don't get rescued prematurely, don't quit just before the victory! Anything wonderful can happen in that little margin of time when you do not give up, but keep on believing & keep on praying!--And you'll never be sorry! You'll always be glad throughout all Eternity that you held on & kept on keeping on for Jesus!

Love Is More Than Righteousness, & Mercy Is Greater Than Justice

Love is the Law of Christ today! "For all the Law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." (Gal.5:14)

Love is really stricter than the Law because it goes further than the Law. In the Mosaic Law there was virtually no forgiving & it was "an eye for an eye & a tooth for a tooth!" But Jesus said even if our brother offends us 70 times 7 times, & is sorry, we should forgive him! (Mat.5:38,39 & 18:21,22) Now everything must be done in His Love! We must have more mercy & more love than the Law!

The Old Law was only obeyed because they had to & they would only do as much as they were made to do, whereas love goes all the way! It'll go to the death & die for someone else to do the right thing. The Spirit of God in us will give us the power & the strength to love others more than we love ourselves!

This is what God's been working on all the time: To persuade us to do things through the right loving motivation, because we love Him & we love others. Therefore, we want to do what's right!--Do you?

Only One Sin Is Unpardonable: Resisting The Holy Ghost, Rejecting Jesus!

People do not have to go to Hell for sins & crimes committed in this life if they'll confess & repent of them & ask for Jesus' forgiveness. God's not so angry at the sinner for breaking the rules, since He knows the sinner is a sinner & can't keep the rules. But He is angry when they reject the free gift of His Love & Salvation. To have been shown the Love of God & resisted it, is the greatest sin. (Jn.3:19)

Any sin, any crime can be forgiven by the Lord except one. The only unpardonable sin, the only sin the Lord won't forgive & can't forgive is when you reject His Love & His Salvation through the wooing Love of His Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself said this sin shall not be forgiven, neither in this World nor in the World to come! (Mat.12:31,32)

The Devil tempts people to resist the Lord, saying, "Do as you please! You're the Captain of your soul, the master of your fate. Your head is bloody but unbowed!" That's the horrible picture of the sinner in defiance of God! How much better the beautiful picture of the saint, the yielded sinner on his knees saying, "Lord, be merciful unto me, a sinner!" (Lk.18:9-14)--Which are you?

The difficult He does immediately, the impossible takes a little longer! So never give up, never take no for an answer, where there's a will there's a way, & nothing is too hard for the Lord. The Lord can do anything if you'll just give Him a chance.

We know, Lord, that You can do it, & we know You will do it if we'll believe & trust You! You always make a way, if we obey & do it Your way. If we do all we can do, Lord, we know that you'll do the rest, as much as possible. And if it even comes to the impossible, Lord, you're an expert at that. For with Thee nothing shall be impossible & all things are possible to those that believe. (Lk.1:37; Mk.9:23) So help us, Lord, to believe & do all we can, & trust You for the impossible! You can do anything but fail, & we'll never fail as long as we trust You, Jesus!

Faith Is The Title Deed

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Heb.11:1)

That word translated "substance" in our English Bibles was "hupostasis" in the original Greek, a word whose precise meaning wasn't understood until just a few years ago when British archaeologists uncovered the burned ruins of an old inn in Palestine. There they found a small iron chest containing the valuable papers of a Roman noblewoman who had been staying at the inn when it burned. She had apparently been traveling, checking up on her various land holdings in that area, because in this little chest they found most of the papers labeled with a big title "hupostasis".--They were the title deeds to her properties!

"Now faith is the title deed of things hoped for!" Perhaps that woman had never even seen her properties before, as she'd bought the title deeds in Rome, but because she had the title deeds in her hand she knew they were hers & could prove ownership! If you've got faith, even though you haven't seen the answer yet, you have the title deed to it! It's yours! Your name is written on it & you will see it eventually. The title deed is in your hands! It is done!

The Name Of The Game Is Faith & Trust

The Lord loves to see if you've got real faith & you're going to trust Him no matter what. Sometimes our faith can be tested right to the brink, to the edge, even to death to show that it's real faith! That's the faith you've got to have if you're really going to make it. You've got to be willing to trust the Lord, live or die, sink or swim!--Like Job! Job finally made it, & it's one of the most glorious testimonies in the whole Bible of suffering & defeat & discouragement & yet a faith that carried him through. That's the greatest victory of all, when you seem to be defeated & you still trust the Lord.

That must be the greatest & the most pleasing thing to God, that even when it looks like you're defeated, you still trust Him anyhow, like Job. The Lord must really be pleased with that kind of faith.--Faith in the face of disaster, faith in the face of agony, faith in the face of death! (Heb.11:6; 1Jn.5:4)

He loves to watch you make it in spite of all the tests & trials. He loves to watch you win, win the race, endure the affliction & the battle & fight through & win! So, God bless & keep you trusting!

What's The Good News?--"God Is Love!"

All you need in order to share God's Love with others is a simple faith in a simple Salvation & a simple Gospel for simple people to simply believe & receive & be saved.--The Good News of the Love of God summed up so simply in that beautiful verse: "For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life." (Jn.3:16)

If you can help them to understand each part of that verse, that's all you really need! "For God so loved the World"--Who is God?--He's the Spirit of Love! Are they part of the World? Put their name in there. "For God so loved you...that He gave His only begotten Son".--Who's that?--Jesus! "That whosoever believeth in Him"--Do they believe in & know Jesus? Then they "shall not perish", won't go to Hell, "but have everlasting life".

John 3:16 is all you really need in order to tell people that God loves them! That's all you need to preach the Gospel! That's all the education you need to go & win the lost. That's all the preparation you need to be a missionary! Simply go out where the lost are to be found & give them His Love & His Good News of Salvation in Jesus!

Jesus Is The Door!

Have you passed through the beautiful open gate of Salvation, Jesus, into the whole new Heavenly World of new life in Him? You can! It's so wonderful!--Like passing from darkness into light, from death into life through God's Love, mercy & Salvation in Jesus!

Jesus called Himself the Door! (Jn.10:7,9) He said, "Behold! I am the Door you have to get through to get into My Father's House. There isn't any other entrance you can go through to get in but by Me!"--There's no other Door than Jesus Christ Himself!

Jesus is an open Door.--Not a locked Door, not even a shut Door. You don't even have to be able to reach the doorknob! The Door is already wide open by Jesus & all you have to do is see the Door, believe it is open for you & walk through it by faith, receive Jesus, & you're saved!--You've entered the Heavenly sphere of Salvation, Heaven on Earth, the Kingdom of God, just by walking through that open Door!

All you have to do is receive Jesus Christ as the Son of God! Then He knows you & you know Him. And every time you come to His Door it will be standing wide open. He'll say, "Welcome, come in! I love you!"

Pride's Fear Of Failure & Refusal Often Prevents Us From Reaching Out To Love Others

The truly loving are truly humble, & the truly humble are truly loving! You've got to admit, an integral part of love is humility! It takes humility to be affectionate & to receive affection. If you want to really fall in love & accept real love, you have to be humble enough to forsake your pride & receive it! Because humility & love are totally inseparable. You cannot have love, real love, & not be humble, & you cannot have genuine humility without a lot of love! You cannot be proud & have real love!--And you cannot have real love & be proud! Real love has to be very humble!

This is true even of our relationship with the Lord! Once we have learned that God really loves us & Jesus died for us & that He cares for us, we have to yield & humble ourselves to receive the Lord's Love. It's a humbling thing!

But there's perfect rest in humility, because humility has love & faith without fear. (1Jn.4:18) Love doesn't care what other people think, it just loves in spite of what they think! So be humble!--And Love! (1Pet.4:8)

"The Blood Of Jesus Christ His Son Cleanseth Us From All Sin!"

Moses said that without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. (Lev.17:11) That was the Law, but Jesus said, "This is the New Testament in my blood!" (1Cor.11:25)

Jesus died on God's altar, the cross, believed upon by every Christian, trusted by every son & daughter of God who believes in Jesus Christ for their Salvation & in His blood shed for their sins. He was the final ultimate sacrifice for sin. He was the final ultimate Lamb of God slain for the remission of your sins. He took the punishment of your sins in His Own body on that tree, the cross, & that was the last sacrifice of blood for sin as far as God was concerned! It cost a priceless gift for you to get saved, & that was Jesus & His blood! That's the highest-priced gift anybody could ever receive, the highest cost anybody could pay for your Salvation, & only Jesus could do it! No matter how much you sacrifice & try to pay for it by your own works, the price is too high for you!--Only Jesus could pay it! God Himself spared not His Own Son, Jesus Christ, but let Him die on the cross in order that He could freely give us all things!--Such love! (Rom.8:32)

When it comes to God & His Work, it's good business to give to the Lord! It's a good investment, earning the highest possible rate of interest & dividends of anything you can possibly invest in, because He has promised you 100-fold in this life, & in the World to come, life eternal! (Mk.10:30)

The richest people in God's Kingdom are going to be those who shared the most with Him & His. But there is also the other side of the coin, as illustrated by the well-known tale about the rich woman being led to her Heavenly Home by an Angel. They walked past many beautiful mansions where other Christians were living, until finally they got to a poor section of shanties, & the Angel led her through the gate into the yard of a tiny hut. "What's the big idea?" she said, "I'm used to very fine living!" "Well," the Angel answered, "our abodes up here are built of what each person sends on before, & this is all you sent!"--Whereas others had sacrificed & lived their whole lives for the Lord & helped many others, & great was their reward in Heaven! (Lk.6:35) Are you investing in God's Service & in His Kingdom by giving to the Lord?

You Can Pray All The Time!

You don't have to be down on your hands & knees praying frantically to be heard. Prayer is something you're doing all the time no matter what else you're doing.--It's like thinking on your feet! You can be anointed & Spirit-led in anything you do! If you're thinking & praying about what you're doing & asking the Lord for wisdom, He can inspire you! His Word says, "Pray without ceasing!" (1Thes.5:17)

Ask the Lord about everything before you do it. Make sure that's what He wants you to do. "In all thy ways acknowledge Him & He shall direct thy paths." (Pro.3:6) Stopping your activity & asking the Lord for His help shows your reliance on Him & brings a hush to your spirit.

The Lord wants to be recognized, He wants you to know that you need Him. Lots of things can happen that are totally beyond your control, but not the Lord's! So keep close to the Lord, always praying & claiming His protection, always asking the Lord to bless, keep & protect you, & He will.

Keep us close to You, Lord, & help us to stay in Thy Will & obedient, following moment by moment. Every moment keep our hearts right with You, Jesus, our motives right, our will right, & everything right with You. Thank You Jesus!

Let's Get Back To The Garden Of Eden

There is only one way that you can regain the freedom that Adam & Eve had in the Garden, & that is to find God & His Truth! We already have Paradise restored in our hearts, those of us who have received Jesus Christ as our Savior & our King. He has forgiven us of our sins & brought us peace & love & happiness that we never knew before. We already have the Garden of Eden in our hearts!

Would you like to live in this Garden of Eden?--To enjoy Paradise, freedom & all the wonderful things & pleasures that God has given us to enjoy, His whole Creation? Well, you can, just by letting Jesus into your heart. He's the One Who made the Garden of Eden! Take Him into your heart & you'll be there, because you'll have Jesus in your heart! And He'll make your heart a Garden of God's Love! There it will always be daytime & sunshine, & you'll be made clean & sinless, pure & perfect in God's sight!

And once you've found the Paradise of God, you'll want to lead others there also, that they too might experience its joys!--And you can! You can bring Eden into every heart that will receive Jesus if you'll tell them about Him, & if they'll ask Him in!

Take Him At His Word!

We're supposed to believe the Word simply because God said so! The Lord wants us to have faith in His Word & not always have to have a sign. The Word is all the sign we need!

Why does God insist we have to believe in something we cannot see & cannot feel, purely by faith in His Word, trusting Him just like a little child has to trust a parent? It's because the Lord loves faith! He loves us because we believe Him, just because He said so! It's a way of showing our love & our confidence in Him. Faith really shows that we have love.--"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." (Heb.11:6)

It's just like a child has to trust a parent even though he doesn't always understand why he must do or must not do this or that. He just has to "do it because Daddy says so!" It's a form of love that the child trusts his parents & has confidence in them & takes their word for it.--And that's the way we have to do with the Lord. We should just say to Him, "Yes, Sir!"--And believe it & do it simply because He said so! Trust Him! Take Him at His Word!

There's Power In His Name!

Some people ask, "Why can't you just leave Jesus out of it? Why do you have to use that Name?--Why can't you just say God, & speak of God's Love & do it all in God's name?"--Well, these are God's conditions, not ours!

Jesus is the One you have to approach God through. He's our Intercessor, our High Priest. (1Tim.2:5) Jesus is the only One who ever rose from the dead & can give you power to do the same! The Bible says, "Neither is there Salvation in any other Name!" (Acts 4:12) We're to pray in His Name, heal in His Name, cast out devils in His Name, baptize in His Name, preach His Name! Without that Name there is no power! Everything we have in is Jesus' name! "Whatsoever ye ask the Father in my Name," Jesus said, "He will give it you!" (John 16:23) Expect miracles, & in Jesus' name you'll get them!

Look how much emphasis the early disciples in the Book of Acts put on the Name of Jesus! That's all they preached & talked about--Jesus! And that's the Name they did all those miracles in--Jesus! And that's the Name they won the World in--Jesus! And that's the only Name we'll win it in too--Jesus! It's Jesus that counts!

"In All Thy Ways Acknowledge Him!"

We have got to stay close to the Lord & follow Him & make sure we're in His Will. We can't even do things that look like they're good & reasonable & common sense unless we're sure it's God's Will! If we're leaning to our own understanding & forgetting to acknowledge the Lord or listen to the voice of His Spirit to lead & guide us every moment, then we're apt to fall into one of the Devil's traps, & it's dangerous! We can't guard ourselves from everything, but we can just stay so close to the Lord that He will see to it that there's not a moment that's unguarded!

Resting on the arm of the flesh & natural reasoning is a dangerous thing! (Jer.17:5) Without Jesus we're nothing! Jesus said, "Without Me ye can do nothing!" (Jn.15:5)--Nothing good! So Lord, help us to be so in the Spirit that we are sensitive to Thy voice & we hear it & we know Thy Will & we hear Thy Word so that we can follow & obey You.

"For thou shalt hear a voice behind thee saying, 'This is the way, walk ye in it.'" (Isa.30:21) Help us, Lord, to mind Thy voice, even though it may seem unreasonable & we may wonder why we should not do as usual. If we have any check at all, Lord, help us to mind it, knowing that you know why!

Everything God Has Created Is Both For Our Pleasure & For Our Good

God made all the greatest necessities of life very pleasurable--breathing, eating, sleeping, exercising & sex. "Thou hast created all things, & for Thy pleasure they are & were created." (Rev.4:11) God created us to enjoy all these things. He created the very nerves which feel good & the senses which feel pleasant. He gifted us to be able to look upon things which are pleasing to the eye, to taste things which are delicious, to hear beautiful music, to feel pleasurable sensations of touch & to smell the lovely fragrance of a flower.

Pleasure is God-created for our good! But some people have been taught that all pleasure is sinful & wicked, & that they shouldn't be happy, & they shouldn't have pleasure. But the only connotation in which the Bible mentions pleasure as being wrong is where it is put before Godliness, before the Lord & obedience to His Word.

Just remember, the greatest happiness comes not in your personal pursuit of pleasure & satisfaction, but in finding God & giving His life to others & bringing them happiness! Be sure you put God first, & then you can have all this & Heaven too! (See Psa.37:4; Mat.6:33.)

It Is Impossible To Have Faith Unless You Have The Word!

If you're weak in faith it's because you're weak in the Word! The best cure of doubts is the Word! The Bible says, "Faith cometh by hearing the Word of God!" (Rom.10:17)--That's the law of faith. So if you feel like, "Oh, my God, I just don't have enough faith!"--it's because you don't have the Word.--Because faith comes from the Word! Faith comes, it grows by hearing the Word of God. It's not a sudden boom. It is something that is built by faithful study of God's Word.

He even gives you faith to believe His Word. He is the "Author & Finisher of our faith." (Heb.12:2) Faith isn't something you work up, muster up or polish up by your own efforts & strength! Accepting faith through His Word is a work of God's grace. The only thing you have to do is receive it.

So please do not neglect His Word! It is food for your soul & gives you strength for the battle! It is His Word by His Spirit in His Love that makes you strong! Lord help us to stay in the Word of God, grounded in the Word of God. It's the Word that will increase your faith. Faith is built on the Word! So read it prayerfully & ask God to increase your faith, & He will!--He never fails! He'll always answer the hungry heart! God bless you & help you to find faith!

"Let Us Not Be Weary In Well Doing, For In Due Season We Shall Reap, If We Faint Not."

Sometimes we don't mind beginning a good work, but when we see what the final cost is going to be, we don't want to complete it! But we just need to remind ourselves that the greatest men & women of God who've accomplished anything at all that the World has heard about were those who stuck to their jobs through thick & thin! There's just no limit to what God can do through us also if we'll just be faithful & stick to it!

Well begun is half done, but if we don't finish it, nothing will be done! We might as well have not begun it at all than leave a task unfinished. We cannot begin a job for the Lord unless we finish it, or the whole thing will be a failure! It would have been better if you had never started! The Lord said we'd better sit down & count the cost first before we start, so that we're either able to finish the building or win the war, or we shouldn't even start it! (Lk.14:28)

Help us, Lord, to remember that it's You Who has begun a good work in us, & you shall complete it till the end! (Phi.1:6)--And help us to stick to the tasks You have given us, until they're finished or You tell us it's time to go!

God uses whatever is available, like you & me when we're available. He doesn't create Saints out of thin air, He creates them out of flesh-&-blood, & normal people like you & me who love the Lord & will let Him use us.

Most of the greatest saints the World has ever known were little people who just did what they thought should be done--whether others ever heard about it or not! But they were always there when they were needed, always willing to see the need & respond. If we have real love for the Lord & others, we'll do whatever needs to be done! It all depends upon our yieldedness & willingness to be made willing. It depends on our humility, which is synonymous with love, which is the only thing that can make us willing to go anywhere, anytime, to do anything, for anybody, & be nobody, to please Him & help everybody! (Rom.12:1; Phi.2:3,4)

Our Spirits Are Contagious!

Others around us will partake & be influenced by our spirits & our attitudes. If we are peaceful & trusting & patient & restful, full of faith, this is the way they will also react. This is why it's so important that we dwell on the positive, not the negative! Talk about the good things! (Phi.4:8) Be encouraging, loving, faithful & cheerful! Love begets love! It's wonderful what even a little smile can do, what a little love will do, even without a word. A little real love goes a long, long way!

Everybody has influence! One person walking in love will encourage others to do likewise! If you show love, others will catch the same spirit. It's such a catching thing--the Love of Christ in action! And it spreads from heart to heart. So God help us to influence others the right way!

If we live enough with God, like Moses did, a little of God will rub off on us too & we'll be happy & our faces will shine with joy & the Spirit of the Lord! (See Exo.34:29-34; Num.6:25,26.) That's the secret, it's the Spirit of the Lord! And if we shine forth with enough love, others will reflect it!

All through the Bible the Lord miraculously empowered & protected His prophets & apostles.--And the same miracles of power & protection that occurred back in Bible times can happen now! "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today & forever!" (Heb.13:8) If Jesus could do those miracles in His day & the Apostles', then He should still be doing them today! God is still the God of miracles, & what He's done before He can do again!--In fact, Jesus said, "The works that I do, shall ye do also.--And even greater works than these shall ye do because I go unto My Father." (Jn.14:12)

Jesus also said, "All power is given unto Me in Heaven & in Earth!" (Mat.28:18) So if you have Jesus, you've got all that power! God has not only promised all this power, but He's promised it for right now if you need it & have faith for it! He has promised it for ages & it's been done before! You're not only going to be able to do miracles in the future but you can do them now if you believe God's promises!

"It is no secret what God can do!
What He's done for others, He'll do for you!
With arms wide open, He'll carry you through!
It is no secret what God can do!"

Think how much good you can do in His Name! Are you exercising your power?--The power of Jesus' name?

Why Does So Much Of The World Refuse To Believe In God?--Because They Choose To Be Ignorant!

Do you know what God's greatest credentials are, the genuine proof of His authority? His glorious creation is a constant testimony of His existence, as the Bible says, "For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the World are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made (His Creation), even His eternal power & Godhead; so that they are without excuse!" (Romans 1:20)

Although the whole Creation testifies of the existence of the invisible God, the World refuses to receive the testimony, because they're in rebellion against God! They don't want to know Him & they don't want to confess that He exists, because if they recognize Him, then they have to admit that they owe Him some kind of obeisance & obedience. If the World & its inhabitants are God's Creation, then they're His property.--And if they're His property, then He's got the right to be Boss, not them!

Those who refuse to see God in His Creation are like the farmer the first time he saw a giraffe, who said, "There just ain't no such thing!"--But just because they won't believe it doesn't make it not so!

The Lord Really Leaves A Lot Up To Us & Our Concern & Prayer!

You'd be surprised how much God depends on our prayers, how concerned we are & how interested we are. When we are faced with a needy situation, He wants us to show concern & pray specifically about it. If we really believe, every prayer is heard & answered. But if we don't pray, it is not done! God can do anything, but He puts the responsibility of prayer on us!

The very intensity with which we pray & really mean it or desire it is reflected in the answer! The recipients of our prayers are not going to receive any more than we send. We have to visualize the people or situations we're praying for & pray with that thought on our heart, asking the Lord specifically for what we want Him to do.--And then our prayer will reflect or be answered with the same intensity as it originated. Like a beam of light focused on a mirror, it will bounce back with as much power as it began with. If we only pray with half a heart we only get half an answer. But if we pray with our whole heart, we get a whole-hearted strong answer!

Are you using prayer power?--Heaven will reveal what good we have done--or could have done--through prayer!

(Isa.26:3; 1Jn.4:18) Even if there's war & turmoil & confusion & chaos on the outside, you can have peace on the inside, in your own heart through the Prince of Peace--Jesus Christ!

To be reconciled with God means to make peace with God.--And what is the only way you can make peace & be reconciled with God? There's only one way, & that's through Jesus! He's the One Who's made peace between us & the Father, through His blood. God won't accept any other terms of peace, just the blood of Jesus! The only Salvation is in Christ, the only peace is in the Prince of Peace, & the only truth is in the Word of God!

Make sure that you are the Lord's, & He'll give you peace of mind, satisfaction of heart & love & happiness here & now--& Heaven too! Then you'll be ready for any calamity!--Knowing that no matter what happens, He'll take care of you!

(Heb.5:8; Lk.2:52) Every day we learn some new obedience.--And although some things get harder, others get easier--like growing up!--And that's what it's all about!

Spiritual maturity is not a matter of years or time, it's just a matter of your connection with the Lord & His Word & your obedience & your humility. A child becomes an adult when he learns to sacrifice for others & to share & help others!--That's maturity in the Lord's eyes!

If you have filled your heart beforehand, if you're full of the Spirit, if you're full of His Love, His Spirit & knowledge of His Word, the message you want to get across to others, when you open your mouth He'll fill it, right out of your heart! It just rolls out by inspiration.

God doesn't expect you to do it. All He expects you to do is yield to Him, then He will do it through you. When you turn on a water faucet, the faucet is not doing the work! It's the power from outside that causes the water to flow effortlessly through the faucet! The faucet is just the channel, just the hole, to let the water flow out! That's the secret!

If you're full of the Spirit, full of prayer, full of the Lord, full of the Word, then you can just let it roll! Ask God to turn you on & it will flow! You'll be amazed, it will be beautiful!

Whatsoever we do in word or in deed, we're to do all to the glory of God! (1Cor.10:31)--And God is Love, so we're to do it all to the glory of Love! There's no law but love in God's Kingdom of Love! God now only judges according to whether we have love or no love--whether we love or hate-whether what we do is done in love, or selfishness & lack of love.--Whatever is done in God's Love is right!

The old law of Moses spelled out in detail how & what we ought to do if we are loving & love others, that we won't do certain things & we will do other things. But once we're saved, once we've got Love itself, we don't need that old law because we just won't do those things we shouldn't do, & we will voluntarily do those things we should do. (Mat.22:37-40; Gal.5:18) If your actions, thoughts, words & deeds are guided by love, motivated by love, ordained by love, you won't do anything wrong, for "unto the pure all things are pure." (Tit.1:15)

Now everything is love--God is Love, His law is love, our faith & practice are love, it's all love! Isn't that a wonderful religion? May we always be known by our love!

Dwight L. Moody was once asked, "Dr. Moody, do you have dying grace?" "No, I don't," he answered.--"I'm not dying yet!" But when it comes time to die, He'll give you dying grace--the grace to die gracefully as a witness & a testimony!--"As thy days, so shall thy strength be!" (Deu.33:25) Whether you die a martyr's death or you die peacefully, you'll die in the Spirit & in the Lord & in faith, praising the Lord. You'll have dying grace when the time comes!

Jesus obviously felt pain! He certainly died in agony, & no doubt many of the martyrs felt pain & died in agony. But He'll never let anything happen to you more than you are able to bear, not even death! (1Cor.10:13) He'll give you the grace to bear it with joy & thanksgiving!--Dying grace!

When the moment of death comes, God will give you such grace & such peace & such love, such rest, perfect confidence, perfect faith, no fear, all joy, all thankfulness, praising the Lord & thanking God that at last it is all over! You've done it, you've made it! It's behind you. That's it! Never again! Heaven forever! Happiness eternally! Total glory! Sudden death, sudden glory! Hallelujah!

"Take, Eat: This Is My Body, Which Is Broken For You."

The bread used for Communion represents His body. It's like a picture of our physical Salvation.

His body was broken for us in a number of ways.--The crown of thorns, the beatings, the stripes, the injuries He suffered, the pain He suffered. He didn't have to suffer all that for our sins, He only had to shed His blood & die for our sins. But His body suffered so that through this, He could also atone for our sicknesses: "By His stripes we are healed!" (Isa.53:5) To save our bodies, it took His body.

The best medicine in the World is the body of Jesus Christ which was broken for our healing! When you partake of the bread, it shows you have faith that His body was broken for your health, so claim His healing by faith when you partake. If we eat of it by faith, we are healed by faith. It's part of His atonement for Salvation for the whole man--body, soul & spirit.

Thank You, Lord, for this bread representing Thy body broken for us & our physical health. As Your body was broken for our healing, so let us have faith to partake of it accordingly, in Jesus' name, amen!

Jesus said that we are to "Seek first the Kingdom of God!" (Mat.6:33) What is God's Kingdom? It's the people who love Him & those He loves! If people are God's Kingdom, we are supposed to witness & be soul-winners or help others to win souls!

To help His Kingdom is to help His people!--And the way He helps people is through you & me! He likes to use men as His means in order that they too might be blessed & have a share in His Work & its fruits & receive part of the rewards. That's part of His plan.

The great multi-millionaire, R.G. Le Tourneau, started out bankrupt. He asked God what God wanted him to do, & the Lord told him He wanted him to make money for His Work! So he started off promising God 10% of his income if He'd pull him out of the hole, so God did! God made him a success & he made millions! Finally, he was giving 90% of his income to foreign missions & living on the other 10%!--All because He put God's Kingdom first!

Are you called to raise funds for missions? Will you share forever in the eternal rewards of souls won as a result of your giving?

What a small price to pay for all He has promised in return--blessings, happiness, souls & eternity! If you give your all, God will reward you accordingly & give you everything in return, even an hundred-fold! (Mat.19:29) You can't beat that kind of investment! There's no other investment in this World that pays that much!

What are you doing?--For Whom?--Will it last forever for Jesus & others? Don't waste another day! Tomorrow may be too late! Every day is gone forever! Do you spend its precious time for Him & His?--For eternity?

But if you go plunging into all your problems, troubles & work without stopping to pray & get directions from your Heavenly Commander-in-Chief, you're going to be like a soldier who's trying to fight the war on his own without listening to Headquarters!

If you really want to hear Him, He'll talk to you.--It won't necessarily be out loud, it won't necessarily be with an audible voice, it may just be a still, small voice that you hear inside. Sometimes God doesn't even speak in words, but it will be just an impression that you have. If you really believe & ask the Lord, & you want to hear from Him, you won't be disappointed.--And that thing you hear with your ears of the Spirit, that's the voice of the Lord, & it will be such a comfort to you. expect God to answer!

Every day should be a new time of listening to the voice of the Lord! You can hear from God every day!

You Have The Holy Spirit If You Ask For It!

How do you know if you have been filled with the Holy Ghost? It's so simple! Jesus said, "Everyone that asketh receiveth; & he that seeketh findeth; & to him that knocketh, it shall be opened--if ye being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him!" (Luke 11:10,13) Like Salvation, you can't earn it or deserve it or be worthy of it, it's a gift, received by faith.

Sometimes people receive the Spirit but they don't get any particular evidence, they don't get any particular sign, & they're disappointed because the Lord's Spirit wasn't manifested by some supernatural or physical experience right then & there. But it doesn't matter how you feel or anything else! When you've asked God for the Holy Ghost, you have it, you know it because He promised it. It's just like Salvation. How do you know when you get saved?--It's not because of the way you feel at the time. It's not because of faith in feelings or experiences. It's because of faith in God's Word!

Just open up your heart & let the Sunshine in! Pray & ask Jesus to fill you with His Spirit & He will!--He's promised to!

As God's children, we're supposed to be advocates of the Truth. If there's anything Christians are supposed to have, it's the truth, & if people catch you in just one little lie, they'll never trust you about anything anymore!

This is the punishment of a liar: He is not believed even when he speaks the truth. In almost any court of law, if the witness lies about only one thing, even if 99% of what he said is the truth, he has lied & thereby disqualified himself from being a witness, & they throw out his entire testimony. Every person you witness to is a little judge examining your every word, & if they catch you in one lie it's going to discredit your whole testimony! If you lie about one little thing, people will assume you could be guilty of much greater things!

What does God's Word have to say about liars? "Be sure your sins will find you out! Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap!" (Gal.6:7) Lying is just not right! God doesn't like it & the person you're lying to doesn't like it! So for God's sake speak the truth!--It is a part of your good witness & your testimony of "honesty with them that are without"! (1Th.4:12)--Amen?

He Took Upon Himself The Sins Of The Whole World On The Cross!

Only Jesus was perfect, & that's why He could pay the price of our sins & take our punishment & God could forgive us. Jesus fulfilled the Law & its requirement of death to the sinners. He died in our place so that we wouldn't have to die! He voluntarily gave Himself to be crucified, He loves us so!

Jesus died of a broken heart!--What broke His heart was not our sins. He knew that we were going to be saved & be forgiven. What broke His heart was thinking that God could turn His back on Him. And at that time, feeling like the lost sinner, He went through an experience which, thank God, WE will never have to go through: Not just crucifixion, not just the agony of the body, but the agony of mind & heart & spirit, feeling that God had actually deserted Him! "My God, My God!" He cried out, "why hast Thou forsaken Me?" (Mat.27:46) Had God forsaken Him?--Yes, momentarily, that He might die the death of a sinner, without God!

Jesus loved us enough to give His Own life for us & take the punishment of our sins upon Himself on that cross, so that we could be forgiven & be saved! Such love! (Rom.5:8; 1Jn.4:10)

It's Impossible To Make A Sacrifice For God!

The greatest manifestation of our love for God & others is not the mere giving of our material things & personal possessions, but the sharing of ourselves & our personal services for others!

When you first begin to give of yourself, it may temporarily look like you're losing something or sacrificing a little bit, but in the long run you're going to find out you're not going to really be sacrificing at all! You're just going to be investing, & the returns are going to be far beyond anything you have invested & far surpass any sacrifice you could possibly have made!--Like Dr. David Livingstone, the wealthy British missionary who pioneered the jungles of Africa & died there, said, "I never made a sacrifice!" He gave everything, but knew that what he was getting in return was worth much more than everything he could possibly give! Although he gave his life, he reaped eternal life & dividends in immortal souls, thousands saved forever!

So invest your life & your all in the Rock, Christ Jesus, & in God's Work!--And you'll have eternal dividends from investment in His Work that you will never lose, but reap forever! God will bless you for it!

God Will Not Take Second Place Even To His Service!

You know, we get too busy sometimes. We get so busy serving Him we forget to love Him. This is the greatest temptation of workers for the Lord, the greatest danger!--For if you neglect your fellowship with the King of kings because you're so busy with the affairs of the Kingdom, it can be disastrous to your spiritual life & communion with the Lord!

However sincere & faithful you are to His work, you must put Him first!--Not the work, nor even others. Jesus must come first! He doesn't fit second place & He won't take it! "For I the Lord will have no other gods before Me!" (Deu.5:7,9) That is probably the greatest mistake of sincere Christians: To make a god of God's service.

Your service is nothing if you don't give the King your attention, your love, your time, your communion. He desires your love & for you to love Him first of all & above all. You cannot do the Master's work without the Master's power & guidance!--And to get it, you must spend time with the Master! So help us, Lord, never to forget that the first place is for you, & that we must drink of Thee & Thy Spirit if we're going to have enough not only for ourselves, but also to overflow upon others!

How could they forsake their very living & their own family & friends without notice, to follow this Stranger & His motley crew?--Because He offered them a better life, a better job, in a better place with a better Boss for a better Family & greater rewards!--And those simple fishermen wandered off with a perfect Stranger & made history that has helped save millions of souls for eternity!

Isn't that ridiculous now to compare those few fish, a boat, a business & even one father & family which all soon perished, with the millions of immortal souls who have been saved for Eternity through the decision of those simple fishermen to put God first that day, drop everything, forsake all & follow Jesus! Now that we can see the results, it's easy to know they made the right choice!--Has He called you? Will you follow Him?

"He Shall Reward Every Man According To His Works!"

We can't earn or work for salvation, it's a gift. But we can earn special praise & special commendation from the Lord, & we can work for rewards! God is no respecter of persons when it comes to Salvation. (Acts 10:34) But when it comes to works & accomplishing something for Him in His Kingdom here on Earth, He is a great respecter of persons!

Heaven is not going to be a classless society. In Heaven, there will be all kinds of grades & levels of reward, just like there will be all kinds of grades & levels of punishment for the unsaved. There will be a different glory with which each person will shine, depending on how much they did for the Lord. Some of the Christian heroes of the Faith, who have been real saints, giving their lives in love that others might be saved, where do they deserve to be?--At the Top, near the Lord in His Court! But some Christians who served poorly & lived selfishly for themselves all their lives will be rewarded poorly!

"Be ye therefore steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for ye know that your labors are not in vain in the Lord!" (1Cor.15:58) You'll be rewarded before long!--Amen?

But these pearls of knowledge mean nothing without the Spirit! No matter how much you study, it takes the Spirit of God & the hand of God to string the pearls of His Word together in proper order, sorted out & made into something useful.--A wonderful beautiful string of truths to adorn our minds & hearts.--In proper order, sequence, size, importance & beauty! That's the difference between knowledge & wisdom. Wisdom is how to use what you already know! It's how to use the knowledge of God's Word to make it useful.

So don't neglect the beauties, the riches & the treasures of the Word of God, but whatever you get, ask God for wisdom! "With all thy getting, get wisdom." It's better than gold! (Pro.4:7; 16:16)

Everybody needs encouragement! Most people feel a certain amount of inferiority complex & tend to get a little discouraged with themselves, so encouragement is a very important thing! We all need the encouragement of others, & yet most of us fail all too often to express appreciation or comfort to those about us! As we will account for every idle word (Mat.12:36,37), so we will for every idle silence!

The Lord knows that encouragement is very important. He appreciates us & commends us, & He promises to reward us for our good work. It has nothing to do with our Salvation, we get Salvation as a free gift by His mercy & grace & love, but it's our service & good works for Him that He especially commends! He really appreciates our service & our sacrifice & the things we do for Him beyond the call of duty!

"Whatsoever things are good, if there be any virtue & if there be any praise, think on these things!" (Phi.4:8)--We need to apply that to those around us, & try to remind ourselves constantly to think on & praise them for their good qualities, as the Lord does with us!--Amen?

You're never going to accomplish much for the Lord if you try to do everything in the energy of the flesh & all yourself instead of sitting down & saying, "Now, God, what do you want me to do?" One of the main problems most of us have is jumping to conclusions & making sudden hasty decisions without waiting on the Lord. So don't go rushing around in your own strength, in your own impatience, & forget to pray! Seek the Lord! Don't just jump to conclusions & think, "Well, it's obvious that we're supposed to do this." Ask the Lord & make sure.

And remember, God is hardly ever in a hurry! The greatest works of God take time. It takes God time to grow a flower or even to paint a sunset. So when you do not know for sure, & have not yet made certain that a thing is God's will, then the best thing to do is to wait on the Lord until He reveals it to you one way or the other.

"Wait on the Lord & be of good courage, & He shall strengthen thine heart! For they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength"--instead of wearing out! "They shall mount up with wings as eagles. For they that believe have entered into rest." (Psa.27:14; Isa.40:31; Heb.4:3)

Like in the story Jesus told of the man with one talent, the one with five & the one with ten, the thing that was important was not that one was given more than the other, but how they each used what He had given! (See Mat.25:14-30.) That's up to your free will & choice & what you decide & determine to do! It's not what you've got that determines the outcome, it's what you DO with what you've got!

Are you accomplishing God's highest & greatest purpose that He has in store for you? Will He say unto you, "Well done, thou good & faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord!" (Mat.25:21)

Even the greatest men of God sometimes got discouraged, like King David. David was a great Psalmist, a great singer, & he usually sang beautiful praises to the Lord. But one time before he was king, he was sure that Saul was going to kill him, & he actually said, "Some day I shall surely die at the hand of Saul!" (1Sam.27:1) Thank God David never wrote a Psalm saying that! How could you sing that? Did David ever die at the hand of Saul?--He never did! So that was just the Devil trying to discourage him. If you let the Devil get you down & use your mouth, & you speak doubt & discouragement & his lies, you are preaching the Devil's own doctrines! Don't do it, or you're just letting the Enemy in. Take a positive stand against the attacks of the Enemy & fight the Devil & fight his doubts! The minute you feel discouraged, start praising the Lord, start going on the attack! As long as you've got a praise in your mouth, you can't complain & murmur!

The Enemy hates praise. He hates songs that praise the Lord & he hates God's Word most of all! So keep full of it!--Amen?

Most of God's blessings & rewards are dependent upon your obedience & worthiness, your doing a good job faithfully. The Lord doesn't reward you for loafing, the Lord rewards you for faithful good work. The minute you start obeying & working, God will do His part without fail! He will bless!

May God help you to have faith to believe God & His guarantees, & be willing to obey Him & work at it, to do everything you can do, so that God can do the things you can't do. Are you a good & faithful servant? If so, God will take care of you! The good & faithful servants enter into the joy of their Lord! Here & Now, & There & Then! (Mat.25:21)

When the Lord created the cycles of butterflies & moths, He was illustrating resurrection. They hatch from eggs into little worm-like caterpillars. Then they wrap themselves up in a cocoon called a chrysalis, almost like a coffin, & it seems they die! But then Spring comes & suddenly the coffin splits open & out comes a beautiful butterfly or moth! Once it was just a little crawling worm, the most despised of all creatures, & all of a sudden it breaks out into a beautiful butterfly that flies in the heavens!--One of the prettiest creatures!

Like the difference between the grain of wheat & the full-grown, full-blown stock & head that comes from one grain, or the flower that comes from one tiny seed, that's how much better your new Heavenly body is going to be! It will be so much more wonderful, it will be like the difference between the seed & the flower! (1Cor.15:35-38, 42-58)

You're going to be like the Angels of God! (Lk.20:36)

He's Left The Cross!

Let's not just remember the death of the cross, let's not always be seeing a Christ on the cross, the suffering & the death & the fear that it sometimes generates! We have a live Jesus living in our hearts! Hallelujah!"

Up from the grave He arose, with a mighty triumph o'er His foes! He arose the victor o'er the dark domain & He lives forever with His Saints to reign! He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!" He rose in victory, joy, liberty & freedom, never, ever to die again, so that He could redeem us as well & prevent our having to go through death!

What a day of rejoicing that must have been when He rose & realized it was all over! He had won the victory, the World was saved! He had accomplished His mission! He had gone through the horrors of Hell for us & death, agony, all of it, & it was over!

But the Millennium will be one thousand years of Heaven on Earth like the Garden of Eden, with Worldwide peace, Satan & his forces bound, the curse removed & Paradise regained! There will be no more of Man's cruelty toward Man, no more of Man's inhumanity to Man! At last the Lord will redeem the Earth! (Rev.20:1-4)

The Earth will blossom like a rose & all God's Creation will be in perfect peace & beautiful harmony with one another! "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, & the leopard shall lie down with the kid; & a little child shall lead them!" (Isa.11:6,7) Can you imagine such a thing? So beautiful!

All will be peace & beauty, like the Garden of Eden restored!--Heaven on Earth once again as it was in the Beginning, but even better, because we'll have Jesus!

Despite all the warnings of God's Prophets, & all of the World events which point to the Second Coming of Christ & the end of the World as it now is, most people today still won't believe! "Oh, they've been saying for centuries that Jesus is coming back, & He hasn't come yet!"--Unwittingly they themselves are a fulfillment of an Endtime prophecy: "There shall come in the Last Days scoffers, saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For all things continue as they were from the beginning of the Creation!'" (2Pet.3:3,4)

Jesus said, "In the days that were before the Flood, they were eating & drinking, marrying & giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the Ark, & they knew not until the flood came & took them all away!" What did He mean, they "knew not"? Noah had been telling them for 120 years! What He really meant is they would not believe until it happened, & then it was too late! "So shall it be," Jesus went on, "when the Son of Man returns!" (Mat.24:37-39)

Will you be ready when Jesus comes?--Are you one of His Own?--Have you received Him personally into your own heart? If so, you won't be taken by surprise & can actually look forward to that Great Day with hope & faith!

God is pictured in His Son, Jesus, a Man Who loved everybody, even the poorest & the worst of all. He came for love & lived in love & died for love that we might live & love forever! His death brings life, forgiveness & eternal joy to those who love Him in return.

He loves you dearly, more dearly than the spoken word can tell! You can never understand the Love of God, it's too great, it passeth all understanding! You just have to receive it & feel it with your heart! (Eph.3:19)

Faithfulness in your work is very important, to endure it as a good soldier & to work hard, but if you don't have love, you don't have anything! If you don't have love & show love for others--especially those in the Lord's Service who are close to you, your neighbors, then in the Lord's eyes the good works don't really count!

What's the thing that proves we are the Lord's disciples?--Love! Jesus said, "By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love for each other." (Jn.13:35) "This is My commandment," He said, "that ye love one another as I have loved you." (Jn.15:12) He ordered us, His disciples, to love one another! So love!--Amen?

He's willing to do almost anything for us & give us anything that's good for us. But the Lord doesn't always necessarily let us have everything, because it's not always good for us! He tried that on the children of Israel! He let them have the desires of their hearts, a few times when it wasn't good for them, & He sent leanness to their souls! (Psa.106:15)

Lord, if we'll just pass the test & put you first, delight ourselves in you & Yours most of all, then You can trust us with other things, everything we need & even things we want, because they will not come between You & us! If it's good for us, You let us have it, Lord, & if it's not good for us, please keep it from us! In Jesus' name.--Amen!

God Is Our Sun!

God created the Sun, the Moon, the stars & the Earth & the planets to illustrate His spiritual truths so we could better understand our relationship with Him & how necessary He is to our spiritual solar system.

Without the Sun's rays there would be no photosynthetic process which causes the plants which provide our food to grow; so we'd die spiritually of hunger without the Lord to feed us spiritually. Without the Sun's gravitational pull on the Earth, instead of staying in its well-planned orbit, the Earth would go wandering off through space. So without God's guidance, His gravitational pull on us in the spirit, we too would certainly get out of the well-planned orbit of His Will, & we'd go wandering off into the darkness of spiritual space!

If the Sun has that much power, think how much power our spiritual Sun, God, has & how much we need Him!

Do you remember who else said that?--The Good Samaritan! The Good Samaritan is really the Lord, & the innkeeper is His steward, like you or me!--And whatever we spend to help in His Work of rescuing lives & saving souls, He will more than repay! In fact, He has promised that if we obey Him & open the windows of our lives upon others, He "will open the windows of Heaven, & pour out such a blessing, there will not be room enough to hold it!" (Mal.3:10)

That's the way God is: As you pour out, He'll pour in, & He'll never let you outgive Him! He always gives you much, much more than you ever give! As long as you will continue to overflow on others, God will continue to overflow His blessings upon you! And the more you give, the more He'll give you back in every way!

When you start telling people your life story, "This is what happened to me & this is my testimony!" instantly you have their attention, they're fascinated. When you tell them your own personal experience, if you say it with sincerity in the power of the Spirit, they will believe that you're telling the truth!--Your testimony is one thing they cannot deny! And the moment they confess that it's happened to you, then they can confess that it's possible for it to happen to them! Win them to yourself & your own happiness first, then they will want what makes you that way!

You're the proof of the pudding! You are the product of the Gospel & the Love of Jesus!--So tell others of how His miracle-working power has worked in your own life, as a genuine living sample & proof of what He can do!

One Way To Find The Will Of God Is To Ask For A Sign, For A Fleece, Some Visible Indication

A fleece is like a contract between you & the Lord! You make a bargain with God, you make Him an offer. You specify the kind of revelation you want.--Like Gideon did!

Gideon laid a fleece on the ground & said, "Now Lord, if the fleece is wet in the morning & all the ground's dry, then I'll know that such-&-such is Your Will!" But when the Lord did it he still wasn't sure, so the next evening he said, "Now Lord, if the fleece is dry & the ground is wet, I'll believe it!" So the Lord did it, & Gideon then knew that God was with him. If the Lord hadn't performed a miracle with the fleece, Gideon might have quit entirely & lost heart. But when the Lord answered, that certainly was a miracle! (Judges 6:36-40)

When the Lord answers a fleece, then you've got to have the faith that it was God, & that that's the right answer.--And when you make a deal with God, you'd better stick to it no matter what. It's just as important for you to keep Your part of the bargain & keep your word as it is for God to keep His! It's a test of faith! So make a wise fleece, then stick to it, & you'll know it's God's answer!

Jesus alone saves, but He doesn't want to save you alone. He wants to save the whole World, but in order to do that He needs us to tell others about His Love, to give His Love & message of Salvation, the Gospel, the Good News, to the whole World. (See Rom.10:13-15.)

Jesus said, "Even as My Father hath sent Me, so send I you." (Jn.20:21) He says this still to His followers of today, calling them to give their lives daily in loving concern & care for others, to share His heart & Love with those who are seeking for "the Way, the Truth, & the Life." (Jn.14:6)

Some people just don't seem to understand the miracle of conversion & the idealistic desire to devote one's entire life to God's service. "For the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit, for they are foolishness unto him!" (1Cor.2:14)--Many have been thought to have suddenly gone mad, like the Apostle Paul, or been "driven crazy by religion," because there was such a sudden change in their lives. (See Acts 26:24; Mk.3:21; Jn.10:20.)

In fact, nearly all the prophets & men of God throughout the Bible & past ages were thought to have been nuts by the rest of the World: Dreamers, visionaries, hearing voices, having hallucinations, & pretty well flipped-out over religion. It all depends on who is calling who mad! If people think we're a little eccentric, or off-center, it's not because we're off the center--it's because they're wobbling around themselves, away off the one & only true Center, Jesus Christ! Man without God is off center, insane.--They're the ones who are not in their right minds, because they can't possibly know what's right without Jesus!

"He Shall Rule The Nations With A Rod Of Iron!"

God is Love, & today He's showing His Love to the World--His patience, His mercy, His longsuffering, His forgiveness! He's showing Love to the World to try to get them to Love Him!

But the day is coming when, if all else fails & they reject His Love, He will rule them with a rod of iron & of force!--Not because His Love failed, but because the wicked of this World failed to receive His Love. It is they who cause the failure, their own failure!

The coming thousand-year reign of Christ on the Earth will be a period of forcing such people to obey-whether they like it or not! There will still be free will & there will still be choice, but God will not let rebellious Man have his wicked way! Since they failed to appreciate His Love & to obey Him in love voluntarily, He is going to rule the World with a rod of iron, of force, & they are going to be compelled to serve & worship & obey Him whether they like it or not!--By force!

He's trying to love you into His Kingdom today. So accept His rule & reign in your heart now by your own free & loving choice!

Spend Your Life Losing Your Life For Others.--That's The Secret Of Saving It!

Jesus said, "He that saveth his life shall lose it, but he that loseth his life for My sake & the Gospel's, the same shall save it!" (Mk.8:35) "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God!" (Mat.6:33)--And what is His Kingdom? His Kingdom is souls! His Kingdom is missionary work! His Kingdom is reaching the lost with the Gospel! Jesus didn't commission us to save ourselves, He commissioned us & called us into His army to save others!

Do you want to save your life?--Then lose it for Jesus & the Gospel, preaching it to others! Live & die for Jesus, & He will take care of you! Obey Him & do His Will & get out to the mission field, serving the Lord & winning souls!--Or help those who are!

But the fastest way to lose your life is to try to save it! "O thou fool, this night shall thy soul be required of thee!" (Lk.12:20)--What a warning! You're going to be sorry if you suddenly have to face the Lord & you didn't do what He told you to do, to seek first the Kingdom!

So heed His call & take up the challenge & take up the cross & do your best to share His Love with others.

Jesus Had To Come Here To Learn Through This Life's Experiences, & The Same Is True Of Us!

"Though Jesus was a Son, yet learned He obedience through the things which He suffered." (Heb.5:8) Why did He have to learn? Wasn't He God? Didn't He know everything?

The main thing His Heavenly Father was trying to show Him was how to Love Mankind, how to love people, how to love them enough to be willing to die for them!--To see their suffering, to have compassion on them, to want to heal their sick & save their souls, that's what Jesus learned while He was here! He learned to love us enough to be willing to choose to actually die for us, to save not only our bodies, but our immortal spirits, our souls!

Why did He have to learn those things?--Just to be forgotten & left behind when He left this World? No! To take all that with Him, all that knowledge, all that experience, & to thereby have a greater sympathy & love for us & be a greater help to us both now & hereafter! (See Heb.4:15,16.)

If even Jesus learned obedience to the Father through the things which He suffered here on Earth, how much more are we here to learn?

God's Word tells His children, "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the World!" (1John 4:4) In other words, God is saying, "My power in you is much greater than the Devil's power in his children, the children of the World.--Much greater!"--In fact, their power is so puny compared to the power of God, that they're like little kids playing with matches while we've got lightning bolts! The power of God's Holy Spirit of Love is the greatest power on Earth!

If you totally yield yourself to the Lord in submission & humility, then He will empower you & fill you with His Spirit!--You then become a powerhouse, a generator of the Spirit of God!--It's like you have a big electric power cable in your hand, but you're so in tune with it yourself that you can hold the cable & use its power to create, to mend, to heal & to love.--"For with God nothing shall be impossible, & all things are possible to him that believeth!" (Luke.1:37; Mark 9:23) Are you "Strong in the Lord & in the power of His might?" (Eph.6:10)--If not, receive power now by asking Him to fill & renew you with His Holy Spirit! (Acts 1:8; Tit.3:5)

If Your Heart's Desire Is To Please The Lord, The Lord Will Usually Let You Do As You Please!

Your personal burdens are often a fairly good indicator of what the Lord wants you to do because He has promised: "Delight thyself also in the Lord; & He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." (Psa.37:4)

Your personal desire in the matter often has a great deal to do with God's Will, because He gives us what we want & have faith for! If a certain thing is God's Will for you, & you're yielded to the Lord, you'll have an inner conviction about it--the witness of the Spirit! In your heart you'll feel that you have faith, & you'll just know that's the Will of God for you! God gives burdens for different ministries & mission fields to different people & then He gives them faith for that ministry or for reaching those people!

The Lord is able to make you want & like to do what He wants you to do. If you love the Lord with all your heart, your personal desires are usually the right ones, because you only want to please Him! So delight yourself in the Lord most of all & seek to do His Will. When you do, it is His delight to also give you the desires of your own heart, because He's the One who puts them there when you're pleasing Him!

God Said He Would Open Doors That No Man Could Close!

Circumstances & conditions are not always the final criteria or answer to finding the Will of God, but they are sometimes a helpful indication. Often this is how He gets us to do things: By closing some doors & opening others! So it's wise to ask yourself, which way does God seem to be leading? Where are the opportunities of service? Which direction does it seem that God is providing the way & the means?

Where God guides, He provides.--And where He's providing open doors, He's obviously guiding! He doesn't open doors that He doesn't want you to enter. God has certain set-ups which are golden opportunities. So don't fail God in failing to pursue those opportunities that He gives, the doors that He opens! As long as God is blessing you & making you fruitful & making you a blessing, pursue it! Go through such doors & take advantage of the golden opportunities!

Lead & guide us, Lord, according to what You know is best! If we follow Thy leading & Thy Will, Lord, then we know You'll open the doors & make the way & everything will work out according to Your Will!

Mothers of the next generation are the ones who are molding the future! Motherhood is just about the greatest calling in the World! What an important job a mother has!--Of course, it may sometimes not seem very important taking care of nothing but a baby. But don't ever despise it or minimize it. It is a serious sobering responsibility! Who knows how important that child may be to the Lord one day?

Motherhood is a big job! It takes the strength of Samson, the wisdom of Solomon, the patience of Job & the faith of Abraham, the insight of Daniel & the courage & administrative ability of David!--It also takes the Love of God, that's for sure!--What a job!

The thing that makes a mother so wonderful is that self-sacrificial spirit that is willing to sacrifice her own time, her strength & even her health for the sake of that child. Any mother can have a baby, but it takes a real mother to learn how to "train up a child in the way he should go!" (Pro.22:6)

"The bravest battle that ever was fought,
Shall I tell you where & when?
On the maps of the World you will find it not,
It was fought by the mothers of men!"

Music Is Important To The Lord!

Music is so important that God's children have used it for many purposes throughout history! In fact, they not only played music & sang songs, but they recorded them as well!--Not with the advanced methods we use today, but in whatever ways they could, & you can read in the Bible the recorded words of some of the earliest Christian songs.

Moses was a singer & writer. David wrote a whole book of songs, the Book of Psalms! Jeremiah wrote a song now known as Lamentations. Hannah, the mother of Samuel, wrote songs (1Sam.2), & Deborah & Barak sang a duet before the Children of Israel! (Judges 5) The Lord even used musical instruments to save His children from their enemies, like the trumpets which caused the walls of Jericho to fall (Joshua 6), & the Midianites to flee from Gideon's meager army of 300 men. (Judges 7) You can read all through the Bible how God's children were constantly singing & making a "joyful noise unto the Lord." (Psa.100:1) Even Jesus & His disciples sang songs (Mat.26:30), & Paul exhorts that we should all sing psalms & spiritual songs. (Col.3:16) John even heard singing in Heaven--the song of Moses! (Rev.15:2,3)

So "come, let us sing unto the Lord!" (Psa.95:1)
